I've been following this project here and there. Very good job Shockman!

I haven't seen any updates in a while so I thought that I'd ask a couple of questions:

1. Would it still be possible to obtain the ICB and ZP versions that do not show the edges of the cab? (I actually still have the v3.0 of ICB that doesn't show the edges but is there a ZP version that does not show the edges?)

2. The lights behind the holes on a real ICB and ZP were yellow-ish. However, these versions are blue. Any reason the hole lights can't be changed to the more yellow/gold-ish versions?

3. Looks like someone was going to create a golf-themed version? That sounds awesome. Any updates on that?

Again, really great work Shockman.

Thanks for this great wee program shockman, i seen the build at dragonslayer forums and came here to see that and your other versions.

I hope you dont mind me asking but is there any way for us users to easily change the fore/background or boot screen, i ask this because on my screen the colours are dark and seem a bit washed out

something like below

taito.gif

I have the fore/background separate for below

Thanks again for the program

Here is the version with no cabinet showing. https://www.dropbox....mod3_s.exe?dl=0

@johnm

There is no way to let the user set up a splash screen. However, if there is something you would like I could possibly do it. There is a way or two to let the user change the graphics of the game, but I haven't used it, so I don't know how easy it would be to add. I could do a build using your graphic up there, It's vivid,

Hi Shockman, thanks for your reply.  I was hoping at some point changing the art to a more localised version, root beer is not something i've seen here in the UK (Scotland to be more precise) Irn Bru is more recognisable and known as our 'other national drink'. I haven't even started on any art so no worries if its not possible.

I use paint.net with a photoshop plug in so i've saved the above image as a .psd with the beer, scoreboard, glass shine and foreground separate if that makes it easier for you

There was another ICB remake a while back, this was a full build over at BYOAC but another very talented builder/coder produced a virtual version that while lovely to look at i prefer your mechanics

Thanks for the resources. I could have a build with the ICB set you have real soon. I will also build you one with the Irn Bru theme you come up with. Alternatively, I could give you the source code if you would know how to use it.,

I would be very interested in a build with John's ICB background graphics. Looks great on my monitor and I would prefer it over the existing one which for some reason looks like the contrast is too high but I can't seem to adjust it out. Must be my monitor. But anyway a version with John's graphics would look great on my setup. If this could be done it would be most appreciated. Cheers.

I need to get that out. I have been very busy. I'm working converting it to a source I can compile for nearly all devices. It will have a level editor, but probably not a graphics editor, but the graphic for the holes will be optional, use invisible if they are drawn, or draw then otherwise.

Hey Shockman. Just want to say that I'm still enjoying this over a year later!

I've created a feature episode on my new YouTube channel on your ICB. If you are interested you can check it out here: https://www.youtube....h?v=3z63pOz7sNg

Thanks again!

Just wanted to say thank you for making this! I'd been wanting a simulator of this game since I first played one in an arcade, and this is a very faithful reproduction (and less prone to breaking).

Hey Shockman. First congratulation for your great job here.. I have some doubts sir.... is it a way to change the boot screen(taito) for another .png logo and the front border art ? How can i do this? And i am thinking to buy and use a 24´´ curved monitor, do you think if it will be work great in this kind of monitor ? or the standard monitor keeps the best choice?

best regards

There is a way for me to change those things, but not the end user. I can post the graphics used if you need a template for size or whatever. Then you can post the modded graphics and I could then post you a version with them.

I'm not feeling a curved monitor, but it would work with one.

Hi Shockman, thank you very much for your great work on ice cold beer, Zeekes peak and ICRB. I'm 51 years old I'm from Denmark (I've lived my entire life in the arcades and I've never seen this machine before. But after I've followed Johns arcade and TNT. on YouTube I became aware of it and I have always been sorry for the machine is physical and not possible in MAME. but i was wrong :). But i cant rotate the game, !! At first, it asks if I want to rotate (Y. N). but it is vertical all the time. (and I've been in the config file and change the "
Rotated System "to 0.2, etc ... I have a 40" 16: 9 TV. I would like the game to run on. what am I doing wrong. ??? . Thanks again to Shockman, it's a really good job. kudos. Mvh Michael / Denmark.

Sorry. It is not asking if you want the game rotated, it's asking if your monitor is rotated. If you have the wrong setting you could delete the .ini file and re-run the game.

thanks

Hi Shockman,

I'm late to the game but....I really impressed with your emulated Ice Cold Beer and would love to build a dedicated cabinet for it to match my MAME and VP cabs.  I was wondering would it be possible to create a new build using higher res/brighter graphics (like the ones from the VP9.9 version as I intend on using a 42" 1080p monitor in my cab.  Thanks for the great work,

A couple questions, hopefully I'm not too late.

What is the commandline to open this? I'd like to add it to Pinball X. I don't know if anyone has been able to do this.

How do I access the keymap area? I see in instructions what to do, but not how to find it.
