stuzza can you tell me where i can find the artwork packs for cs6 cannot find any  ?? thx in advance

What do you mean??  All my art is available for download via the skydrive links in this thread.

i mean you sayed that there are packs you can download like where you get your character from etc , not the projects you post but where you get the pics etc ?

No special pack sites.  Just do google image searches for what ever interests you.  If wanting to use raster images then I normally do an advanced image search in google for images at least 4-8 MP in size - the larger the better!  I also search for "Vector" images which are graphics which can be upscaled to any size without loss of quality, however these will always have a more cartoony look to them.  There are some great free vector sites out there.  Sometimes I can create vector images from standard raster images if the original is clean enough to trace.

Stuzza;  amazing work in a very short time.  I'm simply amazed.  I'll describe my idea for a generic theme and you take it or leave it as you wish.  I like your Virtual Pinball layout, but I had tried my hand at the following and failed.  Could you take a crack at the following.

Show a Galaxy and at the Center is a Pinball.  The circling stellar bodies are Stern, Bally, Gotlieb etc......  then where space allows I was going to add larger images of classic table caracters, Indianna Jones, Addams Family, Rudy from funhouse, Simpsons,  a mix of new and old.  Maybe Tron, 8 Ball, etc....

Thanks for looking at my suggestion.

I'll be using your work I'm sure unless another generous genius comes along.

Something like this?

Wow, this generic theme is really great for a virtual pinball! Great!

Did you ever finish this up?

I have come up with the following as a final for Harkerards "Galaxy" theme idea.  If it is too busy you can easily convert it back to the original by removing the added characters.

GalaxyPinballBothSidesAlltest.png

I can upload it tomorrow if you like.

awesome work as always! just a tiny tiny suggestion for the galaxy theme: somehow the no fear skull doesn't fit really. i don't know why exactly, but somehow it doesn't really match the rest of the design.

Yeah I was running short on good quality character art from older machines to use.  Anyway, I'll upload the editable files and people can replace it with whatever they want.  I always consider the art I provide as a helpful starting point and not necessarily a complete finished package.  Some tweaking may be needed to get it to suit a particular persons taste.

@Stuzza; Harkerad, re: Pinball Universe Theme

Yes you are right, I can easily remove or resize single characters. I think this one will go on my #1 Cabinet.

I really like this one! Thanks for the contribution. I would download it right away.

Hi Stuzza,

thanks, this will be the base for my #1 Cab. I will post pictures of the cab once it is finished (which will probably take a while - I hope I can order the print in the upcoming week).

Hi Stuzza,

when opening the psd file, I get a warning regarding the font "SFOuterLimits", which is not embedded. Do you know where I can find this font?

I think this would be important for the printing, because without the font, the picture cannot be rendered into the destination print resolution.

I included the font in the zip file.  Look for the ttf file in the download and install it on your system.  Otherwise download it here:  http://www.1001fonts... limits&x=0&y=0

Oh and yes i have hit my 10GB bandwidth limit for Photobucket!  It should reset on the 24th (tomorrow) so all pics should be back up then.  I think I'll have to start reducing the preview size.

Not to get off topic, but just a suggestion since you're creating such wonderful artwork to show on the website... create 2 or 3 photobucket accounts and split your artwork photos between them. I used to do a few forums where I had to post a lot of images and I had 8 or 10 photobucket accounts so I wouldn't run out of bandwidth!

Thanks, great idea.  Might have to create one just for this thread.  Just gets annoying having soo many accounts everywhere.

Stuzza;

Since you've given your permission for modification and access to your files, I'm trying my hand at moding the image.  I'm trying it in GIMP though because I'm not interested in spending a Ton on Photoshop.  How do you put the white highlighting behind the logo's in Photoshop?  I'm trying to switch out some of the logo's for other's/add/remove and I'd like to add the same effect to the additions.

Thanks for the help you've given to all of us.  Now if you could assist with a little training Maybe I can be a contributer to this thread.

White highlight is done using the "outer glow" setting in photoshop from the fx toolbar on the layer.  Never used Gimp so no idea how that translates or how the PSD file will edit in it??

Again I need to express my thanks to you stuzza. I have downloaded a couple different designs and I have started to modify one of them in my older Photoshop CS2. I habe zero skills but I am learning. The question for you is this ... what if someone has a different button layout or location? I can't seem to do anything with the white areas in the PSD files for the buttons and coindoor. Any suggestions?

The newer files all have the cab outline as the top layer, ie. there is a white outline area which sits over the top of all other layers.  Simply delete this layer and add your own cab size layer template.  The older files - Marvel, Lego, Batman, - I had a cab outline layer down the bottom and "clipped" all the art above to fit inside.  For this one just delete the cab outline layer and all others above should unclip.  Not sure how a PS 6 version file will work in a CS2 version.

I have been working on this off and on for a week and the CS2 seems to work with PS6 files just fine ... I will try your suggestions. Thank you
