I'm not sure why shift buttons have never worked, they do with HP.

Up                  = 150
Down                = 149
SkipUp              = 191
SkipDown            = 90

upKey=z
downKey=/

upKey1=LShift
downKey1=RShift

Experimental, it's no problem. It will happen, you're close.

Yea HP is using the action script 3 keycodes I think. The skip up/down is fine.

I've searched the net for the exact AS3 key codes but haven't found anything which tells you that 149/150 us l/r shift key...anyway I remap the codes internally if someone uses the shift keys

Nice one, sorted. :)

I had to change the waitfortool to No for it to work how it should.

Could be a fun afternoon.

RE 1.72

Now that the config file is no longer needed how do we change the font size of the filter screen. Also, is there a way to lower the wheel, sorry if I've missed it, been out of touch for that past few days.

EDIT: You know what, I kinda like where the wheel is now, I can see more of the table and the wheel is easier to see cause I'm not looking down. Never mind on how to move it, I don't wanna any more. I've made the wheel almost transparent so it's even better.

Hi,

I have just installed it and can not get it to work.

It is installed in the HyperPin folder where HyperPin works just fine.

When starting it up I just get two black screens with some bottom gfx in the bottom on the playfield.

If I press ESC I can choose to exit.

But I don't see any tables of anything?

hotdp, did you install the media packs into a different directory than Media/Visual Pinball or Media/Future Pinball? One bug I found yesterday is that I don't check the paths of the settinigs.ini. With other words if your media files are located other than the default paths your won't see something :D Will fix this asap.

jasonsmith, did you check the readme how to change the font size and the position of the background image? ;)

@fuzzel, everything is 100% default. (Download and use the media packs/structure from VP). What else can be wrong?

Hmm strange, if you don't see any images then PinSelect can't find or can't open the image files. Perhaps a rights issue that PinSelect isn't allowed to access the folders?

Hm, I do not have any special permission settings or anything. But I can try and run PinSelect as admin?

jason all options are in settings.ini at the end of the file

Is it possible to use old HP's favorites.txt file that has only names of your fav. tables and resides in hp directory?

I had starting genre set to favorites like this:

[Main]
Version             = 0.5.0.0
Starting_Genre      = Favorites

but pinselect still shows all tables.

@blur, unfortunately this is not possible atm. I introduced Favourits.xml in the respective database folder.
It's funny what features are already included in HP but I never knew :D

oh i see - so favourites.xml is your idea but it's almost the same as what hp has already, bad luck - so is now switch to favorites.txt in plan?

adding favorites is done with genre key from settings (g by deafult) - so in pinselect that key could also be used

also hp has some gamepad keys you configure in pinball wizard section:

[Pinball Wizard]
Joy                 = 0
;Start               = 9
;Exit                = 8
;Up                  = 2
;Down                = 10
;SkipUp              = 3
;SkipDown            = 11
;Flyer               = 4
;Insruction          = 5
;Genre               = 7
;Service             = 15
Start               = 4
Exit                = 1
Up                  = 6
Down                = 5
SkipUp              = 11
SkipDown            = 12
Genre               = 2
Flyer               = 3
Instruction          = 7
Service             = 15

It would be great to support them too?

sorry I don't own a Pinball Wizard and I haven't planed to support it.
The same apply to the favorits.txt.
I will release the sourceof PinSelect so perhaps someone else can implement PW support ;)
