I personally would like it to be deactivated, I'm curious if, that way we can gain some fps.

or

.hidden = 1 'the pinmame display is disabled

Pretty sure no one was "worried" about this in the first place.
I just like to know all my options ahead of time if possible.

the great thing about pinmame is its open source you can have what ever options you want (long as you find some one to code them in )



UPDATE

most of my components have now turned up, just waiting for the last few ics.
i have placed an order for 35 PCB'S to be manufactured. (2weeks lead time)
once my final parts have arrived i will send them off and get the pcb+parts assembled (5days lead time)

i will then have them shipped to me for testing / uploading the firmware.

once i am happy with the quality / they work. i will send each board out after i receive payment


hopefully it all goes smoothly i have never had boards assembled for me before so this process is very new to me but i hope it all goes ok and there are no delays

gonna make a little website www.pindmd.com + add a very easy paypal checkout (you dont need a paypal account!) to handle all the payments

will also start work on the installation guide pfd + carry on working on the virtual alphanumeric code

$75 will be for a production version (which is basically identical to my prototype just assembled by some one else)

ill get some videos of the alphanumeric stuff running tomorrow, my camera is a bit crap though and does not do the display justice - ill take some vids any way

this is just for the dmd driver board NOT the power supply board, my dad is still working on that (bit slower as hes a bit more busy then me lol)

iv done all my testing on a pin-led display, but the board will work with any pinball dot matrix. i think the vishay led dmd might be a better choice although it does cost a bit more

pcbs are currently been manufactured and they will be assembled once i receive all my components / forward to assemblers.

Anyone know if FPS will be affected (higher/lower?) since GPU doesnt handle the DMD graphics anymore with this board installed?
