There have been a lot of comments on the pros and cons of Slam's personality and methods. Reminds me of Marilyn Manson....or Alice Cooper if we want to go into the EM era. He has a rock star's ego and makes a concerted effort not to flow with the rules handed down by the masses, or his peers. But he garners attention by being out of the box.

To say he isn't relevant is ridiculous. He's a rebel/ pirate who understands how to push people's buttons...but he's hardly the first relevant artist to take that route.

Yes, he has to (when he chooses) share his work via Youtube because he has burned his bridges with those who abide by the rules. Yes he has ticked off a slew of VIP authors with unauthorized mods. And yes, his recent antics mystified those who bought into his release conditions. As his 'Star Wars' tables show, he seems intrigued by both sides of 'the force'.

He's not about to go away, and he's not about to change his ways. He'll continue to frustrate and amaze like eccentric personalities do. As long as there's an audience.

i have been watching this thread and it is a very interesting one.

people can get pissed as they want. truth is he can do whatever he wants. if he wants to make a vid of a table and say "if i get 1000 views i will release it" he can and he can also change his mind. Because he is a free person not a slave.

i don't know him or ever talked to him but i feel He is a douche and he abuses that freedom, steals other peoples work only to make out as they where 100% his own. only to try and be worshiped like some sort of future pinball god it must make him happy.

As he is probably tossing himself teddy style reading your posts he say's "hey i will do this again" and i bet because of all this attention he will. may be under a new name i don't know and don't really care.

He can't do whatever he wants. If I go around town & start stealing stuff. Guess what? I end up in jail, where I have no freedom. I can't think of any country where you can be caught stealing & suffer no consequences. Not just that, but when you are a nuisance to the community, you are outcast or in jail.
Can he do whatever he wants? I bet he wants to host his tables through FP or VPF, but guess what? He can't.

This thread has had more views and comments than most great tables or cabinet creations on here.... Is that appropriate in the grand scheme of things?

Noah do the honors for all of us and close or better yet remove this thread, then there is nothing to see here and better yet, nothing for anyone to look back on and feel good about.

I really don't like closing topics when it's not necessary. I felt in this case, it was appropriate to discuss the difference between wanting to play a virtual pinball table and respecting the hard work of all those who have contributed to our community.

Some just don't seem to care about any of that. Seems they'd throw someone under a bus just to play a lame ass Tron wannabe. It was probably just a reworked table made by someone else anyway, folks!
