I'm an EM freak from way, way back (like 1952, DUH!) I did the 1st VP Queen of Hearts, but the visuals were sh**y and the play needed some tweaking. There were some way better art in the later versions. I'd LOVE to do QOH for VP9 if I can get permission to use the art and stuff ,from one of the owners of the really nice one(s). If not, I'll just have to go out in my garage and start working on my real, live (well non-functioning project) honest to goodness, in the flesh QOH! (Yeh, I know I'm bragging, but what the H***. It only took me 20 years to find one.

Anyone out there interested? Any good artwork available for use for a VP9 QOH? If so, email to me at [email protected] and I'll do it

Isn't there some good artwork for this table available out in your garage? Take the glass off and snap some pics of the playfield from a birdseye view with a digital camera.

Not really. It's a PROJECT machine. Lousy backglass, some warped plastics and a table that needs a lot of TLC. While I want it to look nice, I'm NOT a complete snob as far as everything having to be 100% original and as close to absolutely perfect as possible. Repro plastics and backglass are OK with me, IF I can find them.

Anyone know of possible source(s) ????

One thing keeping me away from playing or wanting to build EM's is VP9 itself. The nudging is just so bad & also way overpowered. With VPM tables you can just add a few lines of code (or modify the core.vbs like I did) & have somewhat normal & toned down nudging again.
With VP only tables, I'm not sure if there is a way to do this same thing or I'm not aware of it. For now I think VP8 EM's are fine.

You would do it the same way. You can call the core.vbs file for any table, it just means that the person playing the table now needs the core.vbs in the tables folder. Script below. Now get cracking on those EMs.

ExecuteGlobal GetTextFile("core.vbs")

If the nudging in an EM table is bad or over powered it' only because the author of that table don't know how (or don't care) to program a good nudge routine.

Mars Trek was done in VP9, it was one of Rosve's first tables.

the thread is "EM tables for vp9?"
you have a great program.
alot of of older EMs have been left out.
is it because there are no pics and resourses?

That and it's much more difficult to script EMs. SS tables use ROMs to emulate an accurate ruleset whereas EMs must be scripted entirely. In many cases, it's hard to be 100% accurate and it's a LOT more work.

Paul;

You are absolutely right about that. I know. The accuracy is somewhat of a nightmare. I'm still getting emails for Big Shot or Hot Shot - both are EM machines. I've been debating to make a few more after Skykings and Pro Pool. I too like EM's VERY much but the difficulty factor is not fun. Think I'll start another EM soon. If I can get images, I'll start right away.

Edited by druadic, 10 April 2012 - 02:48 PM.

You know where I'm at and it isn't here. I'm not appreciated here (nor are my table releases) so I have no respect for a small group of folks here and they KNOW who they are and I KNOW WHO THEY ARE.

I've been treated with nothing but disdain and disrespect (EXTORTION, DOXXING, harassment, threats and blackmail) here at VPF so you can find me at Pinball Nirvana.

KNOW THE TRUTH BEFORE you CONDEMN SOMEONE.

They KNOW who they are and use a particular chatroom to talk BS about others behind their back (I know about this too and WHO EACH OF THEM are.)

I am reading this topic about ball sizes ( http://www.vpforums....showtopic=17203 ) and would like to ask if maybe you've considered increasing ball size a bit in future releases. Or if it's doable at all. Maybe I should learn VP and try it myself wink.gif but I know it's not easy.

Well you can make the ball bigger, though at whatever size, the playfield lanes and parts need to be scaled to allow the ball to fit, thus the end effect would be visually close to the same.

Just 1 suggestion I thought was a real cool table from 1971

Gottlieb Roller Coaster http://www.ipdb.org/...ne.cgi?gid=2002

2 kickout holes on each side the ball went onto a ramp inlane to the flipper, which i think is the first Em game to have rails.

Also had a unique pointer score real in the middle of the playfield.

Just a suggestion, whatever game you choose would be greatly appreciated UW.
