We have it all, already.. Plus documentation..

But i severly lack the table building skills..

Phantom Haus is an Fruit Machine. Now will it show in mame / mfme soon as working with at the very least an basic layout?

It will be cool to see an early look at WMS take on slots with DCS sound.

Now it's odd that none of there Dotmation slots did have an Bonus Trail or Bonus Board like this and many slots did not thing like them for years.

Now the next thing to get is the WMS Dotmation slots roms (Not WPC hardware)

At least i don't know if we (PinMAME) would tackle the latter, we just did PH as its so close to the existing hardware, just like we did for other close Redemption games.

I wouldn't put any mod onto VPM unless the roms can be found. Have to remember that when people make the roms mods they don't keep sharing. Most of time they get these out for a day or so. Be gone forever from the internet after that. I would lock those out on vpm until those are found. This way people won't be keep on asking for those missing ones.

For example. Not sharing anymore.

Demolition Man (LX-4C Competition + LED Ghost MOD) [folder: dm_lx4c - size: 512kb]
missing set: Demolition Man (LX-4C Competition + LED Ghost MOD)
missing rom: Demolition Man U6 game ROM rev LX-4 patch 00c6.rom [size: 524288] [CRC32: f669f92d] [SHA1: 0dc1c746c8a6ebcbcbc3866bbdcd5471a1d626ba]

I read somewhere this one below won't be found anywhere.

Batman: The Dark Knight (V2.9) (Colored MOD) [folder: bdk_294c - parent: bdk_294 - size: 120mb]
missing set: Batman: The Dark Knight (V2.9) (Colored MOD)
missing rom: bdk_294c.bin [size: 125829104] [CRC32: 5a4246a1] [SHA1: 725eb666ffaef894d2bd694d412658395c7fa7f9]

Hey, I've been bashing my head against this issue on and off for about a month now and I'm at the point where I'm thinking about futzing with manually setting processor priorities or spinning up a VM to try and dodge possible audio driver issues, so I think it's about time I restate my question in this thread (I am using the latest beta from the OP, after all), maybe somebody has this bookmarked and didn't notice the new thread. My issue is as follows:

So I've been trying to rejuvenate my pinball music recording project, and after futzing around with a new version of PinMAME, I found the Altsound automatic recording system, which would be a lifesaver for me. However, I'm having an issue I have no real idea how to fix.

I started out with taf_l7 as my first project and ended up with the following workflow:

1) Boot up ROM, enter sound command mode.

2) Enter manual mode, fill out the command with zeroes (so 000000000000).

3) Hit F6 to start the automatic recording. After a few seconds, it automatically jumps up to 000000000001 and goes from there.

4) Leave it running.

However, there's a bit of an issue. I've attached two files to show this. auto_pops.wav was taken from a recording I had the automatic system do over night after I shut down pretty much everything that could be commanding resources. manual_nopop.wav is a manual recording (so with F5 instead of F6) I made just now with HD YouTube video running in the background and all my other programs running as normal. As you will note, the automatic one has these nasty pops that are incredibly noticeable. I've done three automatic recording runs of this ROM at this point, and this track has these pops in all of them.

At first I thought it was some sort of resource thing, which is why I did the third session with everything shut down so there couldn't possibly be a resource bottleneck. But that pretty clearly doesn't seem to be the case. At this point I can only wonder if it's something to do with the automatic system that causes this after some time recording? It seems to be more prevalent in later tracks (this track being 0018).

I guess my first question would be if this is reproducible for others? I'm not sure what could be causing this that is unique to my system if not.

Can somebody try to reproduce this? Shouldn't be too hard since it's just opening up taf_l7 and letting the Altsound recorder rip.

Hey guys, we are having a couple issues with Special Force (specforc). There are two main issues that we discovered in the process of developing the table in VPX:

1) Similar to the issue with LOTR where the inserts were not flashing during the modes, I believe the specforc emulation is missing some fast consecutive ROM signals. Specifically, the bumper solenoids (solenoid# 1, 2, and 3) should fire at about 100 ms interval at some points during the game (to make a machine gun sound effect). Currently only one solenoid command is given during that fast sequence when roughly 13 commands should occur in quick succession. Maybe the solution is similar to what you found with the LOTR/Whitestar emulation.

2) There is a ROM menu setting that selects whether locked balls get ejected or remain locked at Game Over. The lock saucer is solenoid# 10. The lock saucer fires correctly during the game (and during the solenoid self-test), but it never ejects balls at game over, even when it is supposed to according to the ROM menu settings.

I appreciate any help/insight you guys might have on these issues. Thanks again.

Could you please try again with this build? : https://github.com/v...facts/350993362

@toxie

tested Special Force (specforc) and the credit button is not working when I delete the cfg and nv file before starting the table

Something seems to be wrong in VPinMAME about specforc rom

After restoring the cfg and nv files from my backup, the credits button working again.

The files seems to not be created peoperly.

the previous 122 build do the same thing

That's normal behaviour with all Bally 6803 games.
A blank NVRAM will not give any credits.
You need to enter test mode, go to pricing options, chute #1-3 options, and select 1 coins for x credits.
Quite an ordeal... Bally made things really complicated for operators back then.

Release Candidate for next release, please all test: https://github.com/v...3.5-217-bd54096 (or in the 1st post of this thread as combined zip)

Saving NVRAM for Juegos Populares

Updated LISY support to 5.28-76 (Linux for Gottlieb System1 & System80, Bally, Atari, Williams and 'Home' Pinballs)

Updated to zlib 1.2.13
Updated BASS library to 2.4.17

CORE/CPU

Finally some progress on Zaccaria's 11178 analog sound
Fixed quick clock/samplerate changes for (at least) all games using the Votrax/SC01 chip and some few HC55516 CVSD based games
Retweaked new Votrax/SC01 emulation core to improve Taito and especially GTS80 games
Fixed background sound on blkholea, eclipse (and probably more...)
Added Ekky sound module support for clones of LTD's Force, Space Poker, and Black Hole (which is kinda similar in spirit to the non-emulated original sound chip)
Some sound improvements for LTD
Fixed Special Forces Solenoid issues (Bally MPU-6803 in general)

ROM SUPPORT

Corrected Dumps
Attack From Mars: Changed 1.1 to also use the older sound ROM 1.0
No Fear: Changed 1.0 & 1.01 to also use the older sound ROM 1.0/SL-1
Renamed 1.0 set (as it is actually 1.0F)
Super Mario Bros.: Major game / sound ROM cleanup across all revisions
Tales of the Arabian Nights: Changed 1.2 & 1.3 to also use the older sound ROM 1.0

Added Clones
Aqualand (alternate set)
Black Hole (LTD, with Ekky sound module)
301/Bullseye (MOD rev. 12 & Normal pinball scoring MOD rev. 13)
Congo 2.0 with WPC-S S1.0-kit
Cosmic Princess (MOD rev. 19)
Force (with Ekky sound module)
Halley Comet (alternate set 2)
Judge Dredd L-1AT & L-1D (Deadworld HW-MODs)
Kiss (7-digit conversion rev. 30 & /10 Scoring Free Play + Sound Fix)
Magic (MOD rev. 19)
Maverick, The Movie 2.00
Red and Ted's Road Show PA-2 (Prototype)
Space Poker (with Ekky sound module)
Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition 3.00
Stingray (MOD rev. 14)
Terminator 2 L-8.3 (MOD)
The Games rev.1 & rev. 2 (MOD)
Trident (MOD 2 rev. 19)

Removed Clones
Congo 1.1 with DCS-Sound 1.0 - Game ROM 1.1 did not support the WPC-S playfield conversion kit yet (thus it was added to Game ROM 2.0 instead)
Red and Ted's Road Show LX-2 with Prototype Sound P-3 - no longer needed because there is a prototype game ROM now to add the prototype sound to
Safe Cracker 1.8 No Percentaging with Sound S1.0
Safe Cracker 1.8 with Sound S1.0 - as it does not make much sense to explicitly support the 1.8/S1.0 combination anymore

ROM SUPPORT Corrected Dumps
Super Mario Bros.: Major game / sound ROM cleanup across all revisions

Does this mean that I have to look for new ROMs?

Because the revisions 1 and 2 work, instead the regular ROM and the revision 3 give me the typical error of corrupt or missing ROM.

Toxie I had posted this on Pinball Nirvana smb rom review;

"If you want to use this rom with the newest vpinmame 3.5 (rev 9-20-2022) you need to rename dsprom2.bin to dsp733-2.bin. Test will show bad checksum but it will work and yes it works with the colorized dmd as well."

Are you saying this renaming is no longer needed?
