Just a quick question folks, I've not been able to find this in the command reference.

Is there a way to stop a plunger fire or pullback mid stroke (like a plunger.stop or something similar) halfway through it's range of motion?

Cheers.

I don't think so. Same as the flipper rotation- it always goes from minimun to maximum. no short taps or something.

Perhaps the Dev Team can add this new feature, since the controller can control the movement of the plunger (also I command the plunger with the Sidewinder wheel , I can not make a powerful shot, but one day if I can hack the Sidewinder :D ....).

Golden Arrow rtm.

Unless someone finds something major (or minor), this is mostly it for Golden Arrow until VPX is final.  Latest updates mostly cosmetic, primitives etc.  Couple minor logic fixes.  Thanks for the great feedback and help everyone.  Wheel art, table and backglass images also included in the zip file.  I'm sure there could always be more tweaks/upgrades, but I'm very happy with how it plays and looks, especially for my first try at this.

I'm getting this error when trying to start America's Most Hanted.

XDMD and UltraDMD are installed and verified

amh.png

Turned out, in my case, that the culprit was a corrupted download.

Apparently, corrupted vpx table files can also lead to this error.

first I want to say.... that table looks and plays fantastic the lighting on the bumpers and in the bump bases are spot on perfect..... there is one tinsy winsy oopsy .... the rubber stopper wheel primitive material is set to "clear" ... I set it to "plastic with image"  is is fine now.... for personal preferences I also changed the texture to a darker one i made since I run most of my tables pretty dark

again thanks for a great EM for VPX

Hello BorgDog,

Just to say thanks and report a small issue.

I'm not sure if it happened to other players, but I had the ball flying other the apron and stay there 3 or 4 times.

Hello BorgDog,

Just to say thanks and report a small issue.

I'm not sure if it happened to other players, but I had the ball flying other the apron and stay there 3 or 4 times.

Are you on the latest one I uploaded?  I had that happen on one of my versions after I added the wire behind the flippers which I believe caused it to launch the ball upwards over the apron .  what I did in my newb bliss is lower the top glass height to 70, top of apron is at 55 so i figured a ball would not fit. Not sure if top glass height will actually stop a ball from going higher or not, can anyone answer that for me or is there a better way to prevent that from happening?  So much to learn.  thanks for the feedback

I just noticed though my apron is not collideable so I made so and updated the file, the wall underneath was 49 high.  Same link should work.  edit Crap, now ball won't deploy  arrrgggg... working on it.

edit again:  OK, I reverted back to apron not collide-able and re-uploaded.  Not sure if the glass height is the fix but I have not had it happen again since I lowered it, but ymmv, advice welcome.

Thanks, I definitely had the version with the wire.
I will try the new version tomorrow and report if the problem happens again.

BorgDog gave me permission to share some cabinet setting for those of you that would love to have this beautiful Golden Arrow table on their cab.

This is just my personal view and yours may be different, I also tried a few different setting before I settled on this one.

 Enjoy.

Thanks Les, the FS settings that are with the table are setup for my cabinet which has the playfield running in portrait mode, so if your's is setup that way (and why wouldn't it be ;) then you should be good to go, but everyone has their own preferences so adjust as needed.

Here is a vp10 version of Torpedo Alley by Data East. I built this quickly over the course of a couple of days as an old friend who owned this years ago is visiting this weekend and I wanted to get a more complete looking version running for him to play. It borrows heavily from the older version on the site so uses ramp images for the caves etc. It will not look great in desktop mode but doesn't look too bad in full screen mode. The light inserts are a bit rough too so be warned :).

Anyway, here it is, have fun.

heres Torpedo Alley in my cab... I messed with the GI lighting, since thats really all i know how to do... it also has my fantasy BG
