Yes! That's exactly how I think about it too, and why I really like Android's effort to make a top 25 scoring list. Just look at somebody like CrazyDarnFoolDuck who also posts his personal best scores, even when some of them are not exactly earth-shattering. It's all about the friendly competition and whoever joins just makes this party happenin'!

Exactly - and not always competing with the top guy either. Maybe you think, well I can't challenge first place, but maybe I can crack the top five, or top ten. Or "PDF was below me, and now he's posted a new score that's only a thousand points better than mine. This is not acceptable!"
Anyway, here's three more scores from me that I'm happy with, even though none of them come close to dethroning the current kings (click thumbnail to view full image).
Table Name: Pinbot
Author: unclewilly
Table Version: 1.0.2 (
VP9.1.2)
Score: 3,694,740 (JAD)

I suck at Pinbot. I mean, royally suck - out of all the tables I've played extensively in real life, it is easily my worst. Just breaking 1 million is a great game for me. Cracking 3 million - even on the
VP version - is practically a once-in-a-lifetime achievement.
Table Name: Eight Ball Deluxe
Author: jpsalas
Table Version: 1.1 (
VP9.1.2)
Score: 1,205,770 (JAD)

JP got the emulation on this unfortunately all too accurate - tight lanes and super-strong slingshots make it every bit as much of a you-know-what as its real-life counterpart. This particular game I finished the first ball having cleared one rack, the deluxe, and part of the next rack, with about 850,000 points and an extra ball. The extra ball promptly swished the right outlane (nothing but the bottom of the drain) from off the left slingshot and ball 2 rolled SDTM after it came through the A-B lanes and bumpers - no chance to save either one, and virtually no points except for the end-of-ball bonuses. Mongo was not happy. Still think I can and will do much better, but it's a start.
Table: Funhouse

Table Version: 2.1.1 (
VP9.1.2)
Score: 24,766,480 (JAD)

Put Rudy to sleep twice, but both midnight multiballs unfortunately ended up being pretty poor. About equal to my best score IRL, though, and still one of my favorite machines.
You guys will have another competitor on Whirlwind, BTW, as soon as I get used to this
VP9 version. The real-life table I used to play all the time had very different characteristics (in terms of bounce, the influence of the spinners, etc.), so it's almost been like learning to play the game all over again.
