For my personal collection, I've been adding flex to EM tables, which is far easier than to the SS ones. Nothing fancy except my gridiron mod submitted in the tables section.  I've been doing it because I used to mirror the backglass digits on my zedmd, but that was broken a handful of updates ago, so I added simple flex displays to my EM's. Not sure if anyone would be interested, but a custom flex display should be made mandatory for any EM mod with a modern theme!

Is it worth it's own topic?, if you create a thread on that i can cross link to it from the first post in this thread.

(i agree that modern EM's / reskins should have a DMD option!)

DMD option would be appreciated, first of all in relation to i.e. rom-less EM-tables.

For anyone who can help:

On Centaur, Earthshaker and Funhouse, I have the latest version of the table. My VPinMAME is version 3.5. I have the latest version of Freezy's DMDdevice. I enable "UseFlexDMD" in the script. All 3 give me the same error: "ActiveX can't create the object FlexDMD.FlexDMD." Anyone?

It sounds like FlexDMD either isn't installed at all or is not registered.

Grab the latest version (currently 1.9.1) https://github.com/v...eases/tag/1.9.1

And then follow the installation instructions - https://github.com/v...le#installation, making sure you run FlexDMDUI.exe, click Register and show green ticks after.

Thanks, Scutters. The options weren't checked on FlexDMDUI. All four were Xs. made the change, so now Earthshaker works great. Still got work to do on Funhouse and Centaur. The DMD on Earthshaker looks great!

Defender dmd updated, now with a FullDMD 16:9 option in the script - adds a scanner type display under the score (similar to the video games scanner area) which reflects game state.

This was a request from a while ago, sorry, think i've deleted the request so not sure who wanted it, but whoever you are I hope you like it.
Not something for Real or Slim 4:1 DMD users, just for desktop users and those crazy peeps with FullDMD's (of which i'm not one, so this is probably just an experimental one off flexdmd style for me)

Wow! This one was always one of my favorites of yours, and you really went above and beyond! Makes me wish for a third screen! May have to mod the b2s or something! This looks great!

If i get chance i'll see how much work it'd take to have an option to display either the scanner or the score on a 4:1 DMD. Don't think you could have both in that space, but you could then use backglass for scoring and just have the scanner on the DMD.

Edit - And done. Download updated (link two posts up)

I just added the EM equivalent to this tutorial.  Maybe "equivalent" is a strong word, we'll just go with "in honor of"

Nice, i'll add a link to the first post in this thread. Better than equivalent - your instructions are a lot easier to understand than mine!
