So my Christmas holiday is almost over and I am working again on Diner. The new bits:

I rerendered the flasher image, it now looks like this (left is switched on, right is switched off):

screenshot71_t.jpg

I am still experimenting with the correct light output in VPX for the flashers, these are some trials:

screenshot73_t.jpg

Next to that, I worked some more on the images for the plastics and some metalworks. In the image below are updated textures for the big plastics (left, right, upper middle) and some new metals on the right ramp:

screenshot72_t.jpg

This is the actual updated texture of the icecream plastic (with some reflections on top and shadows for the screws and poles):

icecreamright01_t.png

Also added remaining lights for the register, the metal ramp underneath the register and some smaller changes. This is the FS view now:

Yes but not everyone can take such a nice photo (trust me I'm a photographer). The exposure is spot on, contrast and shadow detail is perfect, saturation is supurb and all reflection/glare off the glass has been avoided (probably just removed the glass) ;) lol

Of these I like the one that holds the most detail in highlights, however I'd still like to see a little more. Film & digital may well blow the highlights and your rendering is in keeping with those, but the naked eye is incredibly good when it comes to dynamic range and while I think these area should be bright, I don't think our eyes would lose detail with a real table.  That said..... unbelievable work!!! Thanks for your efforts, they are greatly appreciated.

so looking at this on my laptop and it looks amazing. however, my cab has a 1080p tv in it for the playfield.  im now kinda considering going to 4k or something because i think the 1080p will not be good enough for this table and the detail.

I didn't think you could beat your own BK2K, Flupper, but you have raised the bar considerably!

Amazing work !

I will get bullied again but: this is going to be the new VPX benchmark table for sure !

I fully agree with "RustyCardores", the lights should not be "overbright", the details should always be visible.

A good example regarding this subject: The Super Mario Bros VPX table(gottlieb) from the Italian forum is one of the best looking VPX tables out there BUT the white flashing lighting is awful ! Wayyyyy too bright... it can ruin a great table imo.

flupper. Your game looks very professional. Sony or Microsoft should give you a job. Very nice looking game. That flasher shadow looks really good too.
