Just a suggestion for the new score table...

On the main score page in addition to the drop down menus, have a master table with say the top 3 scores for each table that way at a glance you can see the leader board without needing to select anything.
It would also be a bit much to track scores for multiple versions of the same table on this main score page so I would keep the most popular(most scores submitted) tables on it only.
I would have a scoreboard for both FS and Desktop tables.

It would look something like this:


It might also be a good idea to only track the highest score for each player for a table that way the scoreboard does not have multiple scores by the same person on a single table.

Again only a polite suggestion/idea.

Questions:

1. If I already played a table to submit my score to the site, for example the AFM_vp91x_2.3.1 score,
and if I also managed to become martian champion in that game (here), the special highscore is saved
to my existing nvram too. If I don't think I can/will make a better special score in future games on that
table and I won't, I don't ever get an entry in that special hishscore list, right?

2. That means I now have to delete my nvram to eventually get the chance to make a lower special
highscore than I already have now and that can be submitted, because then it's set to default, right?

3. What's then with the standard highscore I made on that table that is already submitted to the list?

It's all no problem, I just like to know/understand correctly.

@KloggMonkey: I also thought about how to eventually get better overview over all the scores, so I generally understand and like your idea. Problem seems to be that the site will be completely filled with different highscore lists and one has to scroll down endless to find a special one the more tables and table revisions are available. DnaDisturber said, he calls the program PINemHi Leaderboard now. That means there will probably many tables and table revisions added. Then it's different from a tournament where the number of tables is limited and where your idea would be to support. I just think loud and maybe I'm all wrong!?

It's like Yogi already said....It has more become like a leaderboard...
So it will contain a lot of tables and games.....
Maybe a monthly pick of say 2 tables that people play alot, FS and desktop could be on the first page ?

The option of just seeing one score per person is already available.
Instead of multiple scores per name , you can select single score per name and this will give you only the highest score of every player on that table.
Maybe in the future I can make single score per name the default choice instead of the multiple names (but for now there are not so much players so .......)

Here are the answers:

1 Yes , I'm afraid so....
You got it exactly right

2 Yes but you could also rename the nvram with the hiscores and get a new nvram just to set a special score (then you could later put the one with the big hiscores back)

3 It are all separate hiscores ....so it will stay in the database.
Say you have scored 1000 mill points and have 50 Martians destroyed
And you have another game with 2000 mill points scored and only 30 Martians destroyed

Your highest score will be at 2000 mill ....
Your special hiscore will be at 50 Martians destroyed....

You somehow changed your thread viewing settings, as evidenced by the "&mode=threaded" in the link. Not quite sure how exactly one would go about changing that, unless it's only that thread for you, then it's just a matter of removing the "&mode=threaded".

EDIT: Oh bloody hell, viewing that link changed the settings for me as well. Going to find out how to fix that now.

EDIT²: There we go. Just go to the top right hand side of the page and click on "Options". Then click "Standard".
