QUOTE (bolt @ Mar 6 2010, 01:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi Slam23,

at the moment i have no favorit table. Yesterday i visited the last video hall here in Kiel and played the real Lord of the Rings table and the pirates of the caribian table(unfortunately both table are total defect, dammit diablo.gif ).

I'am waiting for Groni's Black Knight 2000 and hope The Sopranos, Grand Prix and Elvis comes in a new VP9 edition.

I will play at next JP's new BIG Game(a fantastic old table) and JP's Ripley.

Have a nice weekend

Andreas

Lord of the Rings was also the last real table I played (11 months ago) and it also was in a deplorable state. I don't get those operators: if they would keep the machines in good order, a lot more people would play those tables! Have a nice weekend too (what's left of it anyway smile.gif )!

Scored 32.760.000 on Lord Hiryu wonderful BK2000 table. I encountered a few bugs that kept the score from being higher. See also: http://www.vpforums....opic=6170&st=40 for more details about that (and pics to prove the score).

About the game: scored 4 jackpots and 1 King's Ransom (starting from zero lights). Ransom wasn't that good, I maybe got 1.5-2M off it. Probably about 2 extra balls (and lost one ball because of a bug, had to put extra ball in the through). 3rd ball was directly drained because the table slowed down to slideshow. I felt a bit like an one-armed bandit because the safest way to play seems to shoot up to the second level of the table from the right flipper, and catch it again with the right when the ball comes down to the first floor again, rinse and repeat...With all those "WAR" hurry-ups that are quite easy to score with this "method", the jackpots of 1M-2M become a bit moot. Also, multiball is quite dangerous if you try to keep 'em all in play. I tried to quickly secure one ball on the left flipper and play with the other from the right. I'm gonna check out a rulesheet to find out if this table has more depth to it, but I reckon not. Still a beautiful table with addictive gameplay albeit a bit simpleminded.
Thanks Lord Hiryu for a great table!

Great score slam23,

in my last game a scored 30.726.800( with one damned vanished ball)

I can't hit the ramp for Multiball, to many shots came back, i had two Multiballs and one Jackpot, only)
I use the right flipper up to 90% and the left flipper at most 10%.

The music of the table is a top Nr. 1 hit.

Ha competition! smile.gif That 30M is close, now I wish I hadn't lost 2 balls wink.gif . So you also had a ball vanish? Same spot (left upper corner on the drawbridge ramp or skyway ramp)? Maybe you can post a message to Lord Hiryu also so he knows it's happening to more people.
I also have some trouble getting the ball up the drawbridge ramp. But if that shot was easy then scoring would be off the scale probably, it offsets a too easy shot up the lower left ramp (from floor to 1st level so to speak). Can hit that one about 95% of the time, even from the left flipper.
I don't know about the music though, you mean it's a top nr. 1 hit in your top 10? Too much glamrocky for me..... smile.gif
Greetings

Hi all,
Upped my GC score on Scared Stiff with 2M to 132.139.020. Not a spectacular game, just kept 2 crate multiballs going for a long time. With the help of some loops even got the jackpots up to about 430.000. Had some issues again with monster multiball after going Scared Stiff. It seems like the Dead Head hole doesn't release the balls anymore when there are too many balls shot into the crate at once. Only a ball search will then release the balls one by one, and this repeats itself when you shoot the crate again. Anybody else got that problem? I'll post it in the Scared Stiff thread. Had one extra ball just lined up....well that's life! Back to the tables again.... smile.gif

Yeah, it happens all the time. on VP9 ver1.1 It has screwed me up a half dozen times where it searches for a lost ball after getting two or more balls in the crate. I was juggling two balls all, with the left flipper, during terror in the crate.
I also had it happen during scared stiff mode while juggling millions.
Its probably best to just juggle one and hold the other on the right flipper, but i am so impatient. LOL
I wasn't going to post till I beat the 130/132 million, but I had it seize up during the scared stiff mode i had 68 million on ball two. I could have waited for it to spit it out and kept putting it back, but it was cruelly so doing so, I added a ball and started over and only ended up with 72 million, but its only a matter of time. The game is getting addictive, especially the shrunken head comments from ELVIRA. wink.gif

Just got done playing the new SPIDERMAN at Studmuff's house, he also has (IJ 93, TZ, STAR WARS, BOTH, LOTR). Brand New Gorgeous Table. It is FREAKIN' awesome table. Great playing the usuale eight to ten modes and multiballs ramps, but the flipper action and slingshots are fast and neverending, the big slope adds to that. Didnt get GC, but got 1st place with 172 million on about ten plays. It is one SWEEEET!! pin.

Hi Android,

Nice to hear from you! I know you're gonna provide some 'stiff' competition wink.gif I'm still in awe of you 636M score on JP's 5.1 MM table, I'm curious how you fare on GRONI's great VP9 version which I think is harder. I'm at 489M but haven't played it for a while, haven't come close again actually. Maybe you want to post your trouble with the crate multiball thing from scared stiff in the corresponding thread? If more people post it there, we may get the attention of JP sooner, thanks! Sure sweet to have someone like studmuff around with actual real life tables to play, haven't touched a real one for some time now, just not that many tables in the Netherlands,
See ya around

Hi All,

Back with another Scared Stiff 1.1 (reduced) high score, and this time I had a grand game. I ended up with 229.612.310, about 70M upgrade of my previous high. Special about this one was that I completed the Spider Wheel for the first time to reach Spider Mania. Lot of fun and points, a multiball with every Spider wheel bonus on and a couple of one-time jackpots that are awarded immediately. It seems that Spider Mania is kind of the Wizard Mode on this table because an extra "hall of fame" category is awarded after the game called "Spider Champion" with date and time. It's the same as ROTU on AFM. I had a meager level 25 Scared Stiff, where 40 was easily possible had I not fumbled a couple of balls. Did have 63 DeadHeads and 80+ Web loops. Also scored my best bonus yet, a whopping 14M with 6x bonus. I reached 7x bonus 2 times but never reached 8x for the extra balls. No problems with monster multiball this game, I steered away from the crate until I had max 2 balls left. Then I had no trouble with the DeadHead hole, even when shooting 2 balls quickly into the crate after each other. Haven't counted the extra balls I got, but I think it was under 10, probably around 7 or 8.
Anyway, check out the pics!
Back to the table to get another Spider Mania Multiball!

PS: funny fact --> today the machine started up with the message "Happy Birthday Mike 3/16/65" May refer to Mike Boon who worked on the software?
