The only working solution is to replace the nvram file with the 16k version from Gaston in the previous post #1332.

You're right, cause i'm stupid, d'oh!!

Here for all Mr.Game games

First official 3.4 beta! (VPinMAME.dll and setup.exe are still XP compatible with this build, contrary to the github builds)

Changes:

Fixed multiple issues in the new libPinMAME (previously known as PinMAMEdll) library and completely revamp API (see libpinmame.h)
Fixed 64bit version of PinMAME32
Reenabled DirectDraw support for 64bit windows compiles of PinMAME, PinMAME32 and VPinMAME
Fixed some problems with the ROM audit

Added support to compile for Windows ARM64 (not all features/variants though, as some external libs do not feature ARM64 support yet)

Updated LISY support to 5.27-49 (Linux for Gottlieb System1 & System80, Bally, Atari, Williams and 'HOme' Pinballs)

Make Automatic Sound Dump functionality of PinMAME(32) more robust in its silence detection

*** CORE/CPU ***
One more audiophile tweak: added proper dithering after resampling to the final output sample rate
Fixed regression in solenoid emulation for Juegos Populares
Corrected NVRAM size for Mr. Game (NOTE: this means you need to delete the matching .nv files in the nvram folder for these machines!)
Fixed flasher sense for Pistol Poker (and maybe other Alvin G. games?)
Bypassed E.F.O. Z-Pinball system protection PAL chip, games are working now (Maibesa's Eight Ball Champ, Nondum/CIFA's Come Back and Playbar's Cobra)
Prolonged pre-shutdown time for Joctronic so NVRAM is saved correctly
Found general tilt sense on LTD system 4

*** ROM SUPPORT *** Thanks to Brent Walker, inkochnito, ipdb.org, Victor Fernandez (City Game), StrangeLeo75, Flipprojets.fr, Clay Harrell, watacaractr, Eduardo Anay, Toussu
New:
Alvin G.: U.S.A. Football (Redemption, P08)
Joctronic: Pin Ball

Correct Dumps:
Come Back
Jurassic Park 3.05 (using display 4.00 from version 3.07 now)
Mac Attack
Riverboat Gambler PA-7 (using L-1 sound now, might still be too new, but better than L-2 anyhow)
Tales of the Arabian Nights 0.4 Prototype (see above)

Clones:
A.G. Soccer-Ball & Football R18u with 2.5L Sound (only the latter is new, 2.4 revision, inside the ROM it says 2.5L though)
Bad Cats LG-4
Bushido (alternate set B)
Cheech & Chong: Road-Trip'pin (Harley-Davidson unofficial MOD)
Flintstones, The LA-5
Jurassic Park 3.07
Lucky Draw (alternate version - only difference is the #3 ROM)
Mach 2 (alternate set)
Monte Carlo (French Millions option, Free Play)
Monte Carlo (German Millions option, Free Play)
Monte Carlo (rev. 2 Millions option, Free Play)
No Fear 0.8X with SL-1 Sound
Theatre of Magic 1.2A
Waterworld (rev. 5) (which makes this the newest we have :))

VPM:

- Fix the additional .raw/non-averaged file output dumping of Alvin G. DMDs

- Remove some of the marked-as-deprecated functions (only some very very few VP8/VP9 tables actually used a few of these):
BorderSizeX/Y, WindowPosX/Y, InstallDir, RomDirs, CfgDir, NVRamDir, SamplesDir, ImgDir, UseSamples, SampleRate, Antialias

Remember to press Install in setup.exe again!

The build can be found in the first post of this thread.

@toxie

Thanks for the update toxie!

The Mr. Game Motorshow nv file is created as 17k file so it don't work!

I must overwrite de nv file with the one from your zip file on poste #1341 and work again.

It will also work, but only after following the instructions seen on that TV screen.  ;)

The upcoming all-in-one-installer will have these new nv files, too.

I have done all the instructions!

-Copy content of vpinmame on dir

-Delete cfg, nv, and reg key

-Execute setup.exe for installation

-Start the Motor Show Pinball table

17k nv file have been created so the message to Disable SW1 and push coin key are shown and the rom is not working!

Do I missed something?

Just use the files above.  :)

(Otherwise one has to fiddle with DIP switches)

@Toxie

The SC builds seem to have an issue with some of the colored ROMs

For example acd_170c and acd_170hc

if you do a rom audit, it returns that it does not know what should actually be in the ROM

in fact, it has a very difficult time in trying to even get it to pick that rom

Oh you can pick it visually, but you will see that it wont actually change off of the previously touched ROM

See picking and auditing 168 color rom

works fine

zRYEYh7.png

The ROM set is not there, so it returns the right answer

Now watch when i pick 170

rtEQGu9.png

See how it will not come off the rom touched before?

Now watch when i do a fresh launch

oqGddsv.png

See how it refuses to pick the 170 rom?

It is in the list, but it refuses to pick it

Now it did work

i would have to start rolling back versions to see when

but the latest one is needed to run the LTD 4a roms correctly (haunted hotel, pecmen, possibly cowboy)

it will see the 168 colored roms c and hc, but the 170's no, shows them in the list but will not actually look at them

Well, sort of never mind
i uninstalled vpinmame, then deleted everything (but backed up the whole folder 1st), then reinstalled it, and it is fine

must be something left from previous versions that it is in conflict with

though i guess that could pose a problem for users trying to upgrade later?

Since i have the folder backed up, if you have an idea of what youd want to see, i can start pulling files out of it to look at

Ok never mind, i found it

VPMAlias.txt had gotten corrupted somehow

seems that messes up everything

Thanks! Also the colored ROMs are still a bit of a whacky special case, thus its not yet included in the 'normal' build.  :/

somehow vpmalias got off of utf-8

must have bumped that at some point editing something

kinda hosed it a bit

As far as colored roms go, of the ones i use, i have not run into any issues

both stern patch type and pin 2 must not be named external coloring patches

So when starting up The Addams family gold (tafg_lx3) The coin door interlock switch is engaged. I either have to open and close my coin door, or add credits then the game will go into attract mode. This is the only game that does this. The regular Addams (taf_l7) did not do this. Game specific or pinmame issue? This has occurred since pm ver 3.1 upto now?

@toxie

Same for me!

Warning door interlock at start with two roms

The Addams Family Gold (Bally 1994) (Rom: tafg_lx3)

WWF Royal Rumble (Data East 1994) (Rom: wwfr_103)

Not exactly the same warning for each rom so the two roms works anyway!

Your right the interlock switch does not trigger when the door is opened like on the wpc games

With regular VPinMame3.3 or beta 3.4, Gladiators targets often don't reset immediately,

they reset when mission time runs out or the ball goes down the drain, this can happen when you're doing a pyramid battle.

I also tried the previous release VPinMame3.2 a lot, this version seems to work smoothly.

If I use the latest VPinMAME34_beta

and use a SAMBuild
When I run setup.exe and click on TEST VPinMAME closes

I found that will happen if you have any error in your vpmalias.txt file
wonder if that could be the same for you?

Odd

are you using this build or newer?

VPinMAME-sc-3.4-279-50e07cf-win-x86

have you tried renaming your existing vpinmame folder
then unzip the download into a clean vpinmame folder, just to see what happens when you click test?
