Watched loads of videos and read forums here and over the internet on the setting up INI files but i just cant fathom it, i had no issues before setting up my screens.

Using build 1806 , what figures are we supposed to enter in the settings ? i have tried my monitor size in cm (window mode) but i cant get anything working right.

Is exclusive fullscreen now defunct ?

Can anyone just plainly show some default figures we are supposed to enter here please.

If i launch tables that have already been setup in window mode, they launch perfectly without an ini file.

Cheers.

Urko, exclusive fullscreen is fine.  I'm not sure I understand the problem you are having exactly.  Choose your resolution and exclusive/windowed in the video settings.

Might just be something thats quite obvious IF one knows what the issue is.
The first screen is my settings ofc.
Second is how the table appears, (portrait mode for some reason, all my other tables are landscape with no issues) (working on table inside right now if you wondered) and third is what i get if i try to use Window resizing. Backglass no issue.
I have watched videos of what figures i should put in but i have tried allsorts and i have had no luck as far as window goes.

I had no issues resizing my tables before the new setup for it.
Cheers for any thoughts/help.

Oh... right.  Sorry, I'm not using the window mode and wasn't sure what you meant.  I think those figures go in the "cabinet layout" in the video options (you may already know that part)... and I'm not sure but I think someone had explained it earlier in this thread if you want to search for it... or maybe someone who is familiar with the window mode can help out with what numbers to enter.  Sorry I don't know more about it.

Might be losing the plot or i did something not right earlier,

put 69.5 for my width cm, and 39.5 height and its ok now in exclusive fullscreen, sorry about earlier , i must have entered something wrong.

Cheers for reply.

(thought i would add here im liking the new tonemappers)

Thanks for confirming.  I've opened a trouble ticket for this #1158.

Yeah just confirming this as well. I just updated and played a few tables and all was good until I hit several where I could not launch the ball, reverted to a backup of vpx and all was fine so I checked this thread and yep, seems the same issues.

It's fixed.  You can read the notes on that closed trouble ticket # 1158 if you want details.

Awesome to hear, will do a new backup at some stage and download the latest build and give it a whirl.

Do you know of the issue that affected some tables DOF commands such as Space Cadet not firing? I think that was the only things I really noted that were issues. Prob I have now is all my test system is pulled apart in readiness to install in my cab so may have to hold off and watch the thread for a bit to see if there are any other issues but happy to test and report anything I find, well adverse to Betas, testing and maintaining proper automated backups of my systems so never stressed about hitting an issue.

Hi.  Very impressed with the latest builds.  I have some questions that are not likely bugs but something I am not understanding.  I did do a search but perhaps I'm not using the proper search key strings as I came up with dada.

With all the following, I do not have any pre-saved .POV or .INI saved anywhere.  I do still have the vpinball.ini in the appdata folder, but recently I thought I deleted it and recreated from scratch and still have the issues but... I'm not certain, so anyway here are the questions and if anyone has any ideas, they are appreciated:

- when I load and run a table, how can I force it to use "legacy" and not "window"?  Some legacy views are great! (though I do LOVE the window camera overall)

- sometimes legacy is sideways, sometimes it is not.  Is there a reason for this?  I know for window, I just need to press the plunger/enter and it centers it but not the legacy, it becomes unusable

- Many tables are loading with the X and YZ scale at 187%.  the new VPW godzilla does this.  It can be fixed by sizing the number down and saving via "start" works, but it's a chore to do and takes a while to scroll down. Weirdly, the proper setting for Godzilla is to set both the X and YZ scale at something like 58%. You would think that number should be around 100%?

- We used to use an autopov.pov. Now that .pov is deprecated, does autopov.ini work?  If not, what can be done to set up some kind of default view? (of course I have set up the x/y/z table size and player position in the video preferences section of VPX, yet some tables it blows everything up as if our face is like 5cm from the table

If some of you believe these are bugs, I'll def open up a ticket on github but would love to have some confirmation if these are known vpx issues or know user issues so I don't waste anyone's time.

Aside from that, I just tried for the first time since it was released the airplay option for meta headsets and I'm truly blown away.  My 1080ti is a bit ancient here but overall the performance was great.  I wish the VR settings section had the options to supersample in there (I don't want to super sample for every table or even for that one table, it all depends if I want to use VR or cabinet. that said, I set the supersampling in STEAMVR and the result was excellent. Guns N Roses was very clear even at the back of the table.  I did get some frame rate hits but that said, the lag was pretty non-existent.  What type of sorcery is this that one can play via a non-dedicated router (just the ISP modem/router) while getting the performances I am getting?  Kudos to meta and to the VP devs for their tight code here.  I understand many prefer Virtual desktop so will need to test this again (it's been years!)

If this is TRULY forcing a round ball ALL the time regardless of POV, this is a big step forward. Been waiting for that for Years. Can't wait to check it out

I updated to VP 10.8.0 beta 7 (was on beta 5).
The DMD and puppack on all my tables are stuck in the background.
How do I bring them all forward so I can see them again.
Playing on desktop.

I have a trouble ticket open for this right now, if it's the same issue (mine is for the DMDext).  It's ticket #1192 if you want to add any notes about it.

I also have issue with PUP being stuck in the background. My DMD and PUP work fine but can't get them forward so I can see them.

They show for a split second when I start a game but disappears in the back.

An observation on the new "Force Round Ball" on v-1807

Maybe the checked/unchecked box is working backwards?

Issue solved. I'm on window mode now and everything works.

I always had it on Fullscreen in previous versions but I guess it's now changed.

Yes, it no longer works in fullscreen unless they fix it.
