Hi Dave,

Good to see you again buddy.
I saw your name on the pinemhi site a few days ago....bitten by the vpinball virus again haha

A while back i wanted to get rid of the tablename check....but thought that it would be a waste of time since not many participate anymore....
Not talking about you of course gsgregg ;)

But maybe a good idea to finish that little project now ...you can just play any table...it's rom is basically the trigger and the score will be recorded for that game in stead of the tablename.

Nice to see you and hopefully will be seeing lots of scores from you Dave :)

I'm hoping that with the new pinup Player that I can display hi scores in a window while browsing tables (even in pinballx or the new pinup browser when its released).  I haven't played with this hiscore stuff in a while.  I can get hiscore data out of a rom without going online right?  sorry thread is so big now.

on my real machines I have a high score card on the top of the backglass so people know what score they need to beat to get into the top 5, really adds a lot for my friends and I want that to carry over to my pincab.

I think that's better, reading ROMS is a better option Cause we moved on to VPX and Pinemhi is still on VP9...

Is the PinballX pinemhi plugin still working? Play a game from the PinballX FE, quit the game and send a high score to the pinemhi site?

Yes you can get the data out without going online.

If you use pinballx it's already been done as pinballx uses pinemhi. (it writes the scores to a folder)

It will be easier to maintain as well :)

Last time i tried the plugin it still worked but who knows with the quick releases of pinballx...so no guarantees ;)

After a bit of a hiatus it was nice to see Pinemhi still out there.  And with new challenges! Thanks for the work!

Welcome back, Dave---and happy Birthday!  :dblthumb:

Hi Dave,

A while back I wanted to get rid of the tablename check....but thought that it would be a
waste of time since not many participate anymore....

That explains how the scores from all table formats came to be combined...after saying goodbye to XP and my single-core AGP machine (freezes and crashes snowballed over the last 1.5 years to where the boot sequence could not complete), and since troubleshooting had taken precedence over an unreachable internet, I was unaware that it had been out since Jan 20th). Got it restored yesterday, though, after 68 days, so lemme see how I do with a refurbished HP Compaq Elite 8000 with Windows 7, 3.0-GHz Core 2 Duo, and an Asus 4GB 1050Ti GFX card.

Not talking about you of course gsgregg ;)

Well, maybe now I can get familiar with VPX---and resume my meager assault on the Challenges; I just have to fool Black Knight 2000 into thinking I'm German, Austrian, French...or Australian!

It's great to witness your re-emergence, Dna!   :drinks:

Hi guys,

Out of hibernation

I updated the pinemhi leaderboard pinballx plugin. (version 1.3.1)

It now submits scores based on gamename rather than tablename and also includes 40+ games more (including newer STERN ones)

It can be downloaded here http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=9515

Just follow the instructions for the install and you are good to go

In case you are not familiar with pinemhi leaderboard :

PINemHi LeaderBoard is a program that catches the score and specialscores from player 1
The normal score doesn't have to be on the hiscore table of the game, even scores like 1000 can be submitted.
Special scores however can only be submitted if they are over the score of the hiscore table.
Special scores are for instance , 20 loops (back to the future) or 50 martians killed (attack from mars) and so on...
If you wanna go for SPECIAL SCORES the use of a new, clean nvram might be handy as you can get the scores more easy (especially helpful when trying to get a challenge)

If you have a nice score, just don't start a new game but just quit the game, PINemHi LeaderBoard will do the rest.
When quitting a game you don't have to rush , just as long as you don't start a new game the score(s) can be retrieved.

ANYTHING ELSE ?
---------------
Did you know you can do challenges and level up when completing them using the website (www.pinemhi.com/hiscores.php)
Did you know you can earn badges by achieving things
*** 3 different levels of challenges....kiddie, leaderboard and InSaNe..... ***
*** 40 badges in total (for now) ***
We have CUP Standings !!!
You can make all kind of queries on the database using the pulldown menu's , from the top 10 to the top 100 per table or just your scores on the table.

Well, the old XP-SP3, single-core AGP8X, 2GB max RAM machine is gone (bad motherboard took over a year to develop the right indicators), and in its place is a refurbished HP Compaq Elite 8000, Core 2 Duo with 8GB RAM running Windows 7. Now that I can spend less time trying to troubleshoot gremlins, I can get after the next problem.....Stop! No Game Played!

A hard drive from the old machine is now in an external enclosure as Drive F, and all my VP files, etc, are on that drive and everything plays well except for VPX (a bit much for GMAX4500 Graphics). However, when it comes time to submit a score to PINemHi Leaderboard, I always get the above admonishment. It's been at least a year and a half since I saw anything else after Game Over.....Other than Last Access Timestamp (which I've checked numerous times), is there anything else I could have overlooked that might cause this? Thanks;

Gregg

Any chance to implement this in PinUp Popper? Maybe have a chat with the creators of PUP.

I switched from HyperPin to PinballX and now to PUP, so it would be very nice to still have the possibility to play Pinemhi and get my 1st position back! 8P
