The plunger issue seems to be caused by out of whack difficulty slider. For games I have that issue when I go into the difficulty editing tab I see whacky values like 5600%, and editing it in any direction immediately drops it down to 100% or below and after a ini save things are back to normal.

Thanks. This fixed the plunger issue and the ball acting like it is being pulled by a magnet to the bottom of the table. I was still getting some erratic ball movement on some tables and for these tables switching Tonemapper from Reinhard to Filmic fixed this issue.

With the latest beta6, I just tested where I'm on desktop.  I use portrait mode, and usually the table's DMD is upper left always showing.  With this beta, the DMD has now disappeared *behind* the table.  I had to resize down to be able to see the full DMD.   Is there a setting I'm missing?
I took a pic of my monitor showing this issue:  https://i.imgur.com/a7Lv4RL.jpg
Many thanks!

not a VPX beta thing

ask the table author

not all tables have any LUT feedback

Except that the display was ok on 10.8 beta 5.

Could someone please try Batman (Data East by VPW) and Lethal Weapon 3 (Data East by VPW too)?

Or please tell me a table that have LUT feedback on 10.8 beta 6?

Thanks.

Ok I can't figure this out.... I'm still trying to fix my "no cursor during play" issue. I tried the latest beta5, I tried the latest beta 6, no cursor. This is making it impossible to use the F6 rom options, or "form to back" to fix a b2s.

I traced it down to the .exe itself. If I have updated 10.8 files, and use the 10.8.exe I don't have a cursor during the game.

If I leave all the new files, but use the 10.6.exe, I have a cursor.

Other than uninstalling/reinstalling, does anyone have any ideas?

After reading these posts and some testing on my end, I think for this specific beta an entirely separate Visual Pinball directory is needed.

I simply rename the new VPX8 beta as VPinballX8.exe and I put it in the same folder as the other VP versions (7, 8, 9 and X). I also overwrite all the dll and scripts, they are fully backwards compatible, so VP8 and VP9 can use them.

I only use FlexDMD and B2S server, and I use the new versions with the older VP, and they work just fine.

Anyone have Dof vpx8 beta 6. Feedback worked for the contactors a couple of revisions earlier. I am talking about a couple non rom based tables. TNA for example my contactors do not fire off. But my 5 bar RGB flasher works I don't get it? Very strange. Spongebob vpw works with all the toys. But then again JP'S space cadet does fire off any dof feedback. I have seen this reported on github. So I know others are experiencing this same issue.

Another question where is the defaults for vpx8 now saved since not in the registry? The editor always opens Minimized (smaller windowl
Even if I close the editor full screen. It will open to a smaller window,
never had this happen until recently with the newer revisions

- the settings are now stored in a file named 'VPinballX.ini' located in the standard Windows location for application data: %AppData%/VPinballX/

I deleted the .ini file and reopened VPX.

I loaded up revision 1787 and on a bunch of tables my ball gets stuck in the shooter lane every time I launch it.  Wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if it's on my end.  Thanks.

Yes, I have the same issue.

Thanks for confirming.  I've opened a trouble ticket for this #1158.

Yeah just confirming this as well. I just updated and played a few tables and all was good until I hit several where I could not launch the ball, reverted to a backup of vpx and all was fine so I checked this thread and yep, seems the same issues.

Can also confirm. I played Space Cadet and had only a couple of DOF triggers fire and wondered if maybe I didn't check if that table had full DOF but reverted back to Beta 5 and all DOF worked so a few issues I have hiit in Beta 6, have rolled back now to Beta 5 and all seems fine so hopefully these issues are sorted in time.
