thats the standard plasma dot matrix, my board will interface to this display just fine BUT you will need to power it your self , it needs some nasty voltages that normally come from the pinballs transformer + some sort of power board with smoothing caps and stuff.

long as you can supply the correct voltages it will work fine!

How is it going with the displays?

I'm scheduled to receive my Vishay LED DMD tomorrow, after which I will run it through some testing.

Once complete, I will start taking pre-orders for the displays on the VirtuaPin.net website.

OK, I got a PinLed DMD in and set up with my board from Russ and have been working with it all evening. It looks so much better than an LCD and the board works great. However, I can't get the ShowPinDMD command to work on any table to hide the PinDMD information. I've tried it with almost every UVP table I run, as well as alphanumeric tables I'm not running UVP on, and I get an unsupported property error every time I add the text. I was thinking with it using the UVP server it would bypass the PinDMD anyway, but obviously not.
The only solution I can come up with at this point is a physical switch between the DMD and the power source but I'm not really excited about the prospect. Does this command work for anyone? Am I using the wrong dll file or something??

me and snots have no control over the UVP server as we did not write this it does not know what ShowPinDMD is. i think snots has tried contacting the author so we can integrate it in but has had no response yet.

as far as im aware (i dont use it my self) any thing not using a uvp server. so just the table by it self should be cool

I tried Diner, Spirit, Bad Cats and BTTF B2S tables and couldn't get the command to work?? I still get the information on the BG and in the PinDMD every time.

I'm working on it right now, and will post an announcement when it's up and available.

These displays are going to take some time to manufacture, as we are having them custom-built to be orange, not red, like Stern's.
