Dave the Cool: I had to play TSPP and second game got 150million and right after the reverse flippers the game wouldn't spit out another ball like yours and when I added one to the trough the game was over! We need to find the release thread and comment, maybe the author can find out whats up with that!

JP's newest version of Star Trek

Nice score, but you do realize that using the 7 digit ROM could be construed as a violation of the Factory Settings rule, since the 7 digit ROM is not the factory ROM.

7digit vs. 6digit: Although technically acccurate in defying the default settings, then so would be setting the replay counter from 10 to 40 or whatever the highest would be in this game! With so many people being able to roll over the 6digit and trying to let the ball drain right before reaching it IMHO is lame, as long as the only difference lies in the score, not playfield options..ie xtra balls, bonuses, 3 oer 5 ball. acccurate It produces a better score comparison, and competition. But I am not a 'ruthless dictator' here so I am open to putting an asterisk next to the 7digit It expands the high score range tenfold and really becomes a feat if reached by then. As I have said before, RATED: MATURE >>>I just hate to drain a pinball early...its like "letting the best part of you, run down her leg!!" JK.........

That was why I said "construed" or thought as.

Personally, I don't care which version of the ROM you use, it is just the fact that there was a stress on factory settings, which would mean using the FACTORY ROMS, not the altered ROMS.

TOM: Yeah, I don't know. When we had the tournaments at Pinball Unlimited, Computerfreak (RIP) and Rascal? ( I believe) added a separate counter that went into the billions and kept track of the high score whether it was turned over or not. I believe that most of those tournament tables were rom-less.

I am not a FS user, but the nudging/shaking options on vp9.12 that most table authors are using, is getting extremely easy to divert the SDTM drain, and making an exceptional double save scarcer. This of course makes the games easier and thus able to roll the scores over much easier. Of course that's in another thread already. I think the average 4:3 user should have the nudging set with a lower impact on the ball movement. I realize that the nudging and shaking are separate entities for PW users, but it makes the 9.12 default nudging feel closer to Future pinball nudging settings, which was the downfall of alot of people's impression of an otherwise flawlessly looking pinball platform IMHO!!

I am sure the expert testers, authors, scripters will figure out a way for both FS/PW and 4:3 users can have the best of both worlds.

Will update High Scores soon Tom smile.gif

btw, i suppose the 7 digits have the same settings as the 6 digits... i did not think about that !?
for example, as often on old '80 tables, NO extra ball available

now, simply consider 2 diff scores, with 7 or with 6 digits, simple as that (already done as it for some others tables)
