a FS table is a Full Screen table and 270 degrees rotated on your screen like a "real" pinball...

yeah that´s the part I don´t understand. why is it rotated? do you need 2 monitors? no clue how that is supposed to work...

eight ball deluxe is another table with buggy scores that should be removed in the next version, unfortunately...

you can use only 1 screen , but it's better with 2 or 3 screens for see the score

batman champion.

btw, that one is another one to can for the next version of pinemhi, seeing as it is a fucking ALPHA version with half of the features not working properly!!!!! (same obviously also applies to Judge Dredd which is an equally broken piece of shit)

Well.....I read about unticking "Visible" for alpha ramps and it seems to work well enough that my lame rig can play some of the 9.1.x tables, but I tried AFM_vp914_v2.4.vpt tonight/this morning (Gol-dang, there's a load of ramps!) and I get "No VP9 EXECUTABLE DETECTED IN PINEMHI_LEADERBOARD.INI"-----but I have 912 in the VP9 path, and tried both 914 and 915 in the VP9alt path, and as far as I know, my paths are correct (I played some VP912 last night). Using PeH v2.1.2 (I guess that's apparent from my mention of alt) and running XP-SP3.

Any insights before my stiff cocktails take effect? :bar5:

hope this reaches you on time.....before the alcohol kicks in....

the afm table is set as alt in the xml, so it will try the altpath executable.

so best thing is to check the path and if the vp914 executable name is the same in the ini file.

you said your path was correct using the vp912 but that is the normal one , and for that afm table it will want the alt path executable.

did i hear a loud bump...yep too late....how does the floor taste , Gregg ?   lol :drinks:

hope you get it figured out as you are the true ruler of the universe, considering the number of times you got it.... :love39:

Good afternoon, Dna-D; The floor tastes fine.....nothing better than an oak pate (but I can't imagine why my teeth cracked).

I've stared at those paths until they refuse to stare back, but I can't spot anything now any more than I could all those months ago when there was some inconsequential tidbit that wound up missing or out of place. Looking at the Games xml and seeing alt capitalized, I even tried caps in the .ini, to no avail.

But, if a 'paths' discrepancy is indeed indicated, I guess I'll have to stare at it some more. Cheers, sir! (*hic*)

It could also be the executable name that doesn't match....
You can also cut and paste a piece of the paths from the ini file so i can take a look

Okay, here goes.....rather than cut/paste, how about some jpegs? Three versions of PINemHi .INIs side by side that you can toggle kinetoscope- (or is that nickelodeon-?) style and look for illegal aliens!

Version 1.5 has been what I use the most, with my penchant for VP8, but I just checked and it works for both VP8 and VP9.  V2.0.1 is intended to be my newer default VP8 (not that VP8 has new stuff; just potentially more tables available), but has been commandeered for newer VP9 as well since v2.1.2 isn't cooperating yet. And v2.1.2 (go figure!) DOES work for VP8. Amended: it also works for the regular VP9; apparently the alternate VP9 hides under its own rock.

In the 2.1.2.ini, I've experimented with 914 and 915 in the path line, and VP9, VP9alt, VP9ALT after play=.

Good luck, and :drinks: thanks for lookin'.

Ah there's your problem, your code is wrong...haha :)

Can't see anything wrong with the ini file.

are you sure the vpinball914.exe and vpinball915.exe are in the same directoryas the vpinball912.exe ?

what you can try to is setting the normal vp9 executable to the vpinball914.exe and then remove the word ALT under the afm game in games.xml.

this way the program will start it with the default vp9 executable being the vpinball914 one.

if you still get the error , then there has to be something with the name or location of the vpinball914.exe that's causing the problem.

if you always wanna play with the 914 or 915 exe you can put it in vp9=  and then remove all ALT in games.xml.

this way all games are played with the newer executable and you don't have to use vp9alt option.

It's early but who cares :drinks:

I don't actually have 914; just 902 (installed by Installer 103), 912 (since May 29, 2011) and 915, which I've had for only about two weeks. I just thought that 'Alternate' meant 914 or higher, or I wouldn't have DL'ed 915. All EXEs are in the Visual Pinball folder, with desktop shortcuts. Should I again try changing the alternate to VPinball915?

In the Instructions, you give the options VP9, VP8, and FS; apparently, selection of the alternate exe is automatic, but I started on the wrong foot by thinking that I had to specify it myself. Then the Error screen mentioned the VP9 executable being undetected but not the alternate.

Arrrgh! Two hours of sleep is catching up, and I can't think of anything else pertinent, so I gotta bail.

It's early but who cares :drinks:

Agreed!
