Keep cool Groni.

The three most important things in life are:

1. family
2. a good job
3. a nice hobby, to relax

Have a great week Groni

bolt

I totally agree bolt!

And people be patient. All the 'pinball creators' do it for hobby, and there are more important things, than keep everybody happy who is inpatient on Vpforums!

hey groni,
table looks great so far, take your time and do it when you have time to do it. There is no race around here. You build tables for the same reasons i do, i build the ones i like and the ones i want in my pin cabinet.

I wanted to ask you if you mind if i use the dropping target bank and code from you attack from mars table as a guide for the monster bash dropping target bank. i've never coded one of these before and am trying to figure it out.

I'm with everybody else Groni, take your time i like beautiful tables not half-ass tables. And i don't mean yours Brian yours are beautiful to, it's just that i've seen some of the older ones and i think they need to look really good, and if it takes a year for Groni to make his tables be it. Like he said Unclereamus and Paul are taking their time on making tables too, and i commend them also for doing that. It's all about perserving are favorite past time and making good looking tables, and again Groni your tables are Fantastic and i love too play them, some of your tables like Lord of the rings, Midevil Madness, and The Simpson's pinball party i play all the time oh and Terminator 3. Thank you and keep doing what you do, if you need a break then take one. Also work and money and your love one comes first then VP. David Pannozzo

I don't see why some people are always rushing VP table creators on there next releses. It will get done when they get it done.

I would probably think that many of the talented VP table creators out there have lives outside of VP. When you live your life anything can happen at anytime during your life. Death in the family, car accident, get sick, lost a job, have to work many hours at a job, get married, moving to another place, break up w/ girlfreind, and many many more problems and conflicts that we face in our lifes. And I'm sure VP creators go through the same thing they don't build VP tables for a living, I think they do it for a hobby.

And Groni already gave us excellent versions of his AFM, LOTR, T3, TSPP and many more. We should be enjoying and still playing those previous released tables and I'm still playing AFM right now still trying to get the highest score. Because I definitely can't play all the tables at once when new ones get released by different authors.

So thats why I think that the VP table creators have the right to release their tables when they want to. Now thats just my opinion, I'm not trying to cause any flame wars or trouble.

And remeber good things come to those who wait.

Have a good day.

I'm so glad nobody is begging me on releasing new Centipede table. Soon those old tables will be removed. New table will be much nicer looking and bugs free. I might need help on the script though because it been a while since I working on a script. Will be for VP9 and up only.

I just now got rid of the walls drop and replace those with lights. I didn't know lights can be on and off by using images now. Pretty cool.

BTW: That is my ball image on the left. Look so real after I made it.

I agree with Vic Viper.
Groni, take your time. DonĄt worry about VP. Things in live, are the most important.smile.gif

Hey Guys!

VERY VERY BAD NEWS!!!

This Week I worked a bit on the table, and added some objects. Then i saved the table like always.
At the other day, as i open that table again, vp freeze on loading. the table didnīt load.
Then I checked the file, and realized, that the file is just a few kb big. The original File had
about 20 MB. So VP destroyed my vpt file for some reason.

The table is gone!! I only have an very early Stage WIP, with as good as no objects and no scripting
DAMMIT!!

Like we say in Germany "All my Work for the Cat"

Sorry Guys, but there will be no BK2000 in the next time...Have to start all over!

My current VPX Tables I am working on:

Attack from Mars/Finished - The Walking Dead Pro/90% - The Lord of the Rings/75% - Family Guy/90% - The Simpsons Pinball Party/15%

Very sad news... when you work only one single alone file.....(No backups?) Maybe restore point should be the solution....

Sorry all but a restore point has nothing to do with local files only with windows settings/registry etc

only way is to active shadow copy in windows

This is very basic too...i wonder why Groni didn't follow that route. I always save a different version of my work when i make important changes.

Will VP not automatically make a backup file? I use coreldraw at work and it auto-saves a back-up every 10 minutes or so. And has come in very handy on several occasions.

I turn that feature off myself - autosave doesn't prompt you at all, it just does it, and that can be just as bad as not backing up a file with a different name.
