to answer my own question from a few weeks ago:

 

yes you can use VPVR without VR and just use GL instead of DX9:

1. Install VPVR - any version: https://sourceforge.net/projects/vpvr/

2. go into VR settings and set VR mode to "VR disabled"

 

Bonus: you can try 3D head tracking - https://montetoncab....-face-tracking/

thats how I stumbled upon the setting

Just wanted to add if I enter one of the tables with missing/glitched textures in interactive mode (F6) the textures come back. Maybe that's helpful?

I can confirm that .. never noticed it, but its correct.

F6 does not preform 3D table pre-rendering, hence why it also does not look as spiffy as when the table is actually running

I second this, I did not even know of this issue till i tried to play blood machines, just my luck that yesterday was the last day i could return the card.. i knew i should of just went with a 3060...

No, it isn't. please actually read the thread.
It doesnt help anyone to throw out senseless comments that are of no help since you dont even understand the cause of the issue
which is not the GPU

while this does fix part of it the other part looks to be the playfield mesh which if you do anything to breaks the game, at least in my experience..

That isnt a response from AMD that you got
just some other user who was too lazy to actually try vpx

 

What we need is internal dialog with AMD rather than peer to peer

I can confirm that this has fixed issues with my 5600 and 5700XT. One is a Red Devil and the other is an Asrock.

wow .. finally

they really fixed the drivers - all tables work now with my 6700xt as well.

 

you dont need to download the may preview drivers anymore. The driver released as version 22.5.2.
