Well, grab the 1.9 beta here and install it. 

 

Just a heads up that the artifacts linked here appear to have aged off. 

 

Maybe just link here instead? https://ci.appveyor..../dmd-extensions

 

That should keep the link from going stale until 1.9 drops.

then you just click on the latest update

or go back some updates if that is what one needed to do

Does anyone have good settings for a blue alphanumeric setting? I am trying to make a good one for Tom and Jerry.

I love the default orange one, but the default blue just does not look as stunning as the default orange one.

No, I use one screen, landscape/desktop view. I like it centered, so I leave the backglass off; with my DMD to the sides.

After playing around a bit more, I think I have a good blue one. It its very similar to the default alphanumeric; but instead of orange, I made it blue and tweaked some of the settings.

Not sure why, though i can understand those with real DMDs because they literally cant.

That's too bad because the features Freezy built into this software are simply amazing and I don't think most people realize its full potential. Everyone should at least sample Scutters' style posted on the previous page, extremely realistic dot matrix with a look and feel of a real DMD. The style can be set as default or just per table (i.e. try it with AFM). It would be great if more people experimented and posted their settings here for everyone to enjoy.

I am poking this old thread to let the creators and contributors know how awesome I think this functionality is and how much is has changed the feel and immersion of our families ALP Table. It has REALLY given that little bit of extra umami to our tables.

 

You folks really have outdone yourselves. 

 

 

I have been playing with the look and feel of this on a few tables and while it's not right for 'everything' it does add some cool flavor on a lot of my most played games.

 

I didn't really care for a lot of the damaged / broken Glass overlays so I hit the creative commons and freeStock repos and mocked up a few examples. I will link the source images separately; until then, here is a link to some examples I made from Flash, Tron and STTNG.

 

Thanks so much again for the contribution everyone and especially to Freezy who's big brain powers a lot of these ideas !

 

ps - apologies for the poor resolution; I was taking screenshots over a rustdesk session to my vPin PC and it isn't the best quality.

Keep in mind, the included media is meant to just be something to start with and demo the capabilities

and give you a clue how to make your own media.

Hard to give people something and say here use this, but provide no example material to look at.

I believe Vbousquet should receive a lot of credit here, i believe he initially forked freezsy's and began tinkering with the styles thing on his own

as a means to improve the display of FlexDMD.

 

 

You can do lots of things with frames, and glass

 

Even full DMD screen covers
