While I certainly don't agree with Fren's brief and cryptic response... he certainly has made some fantastic VPX games.. Star Trek Stern LE being one of them... and AMH which is probably one of my favorite of his tables.

Despite the fact the fact that I love Fren and nFozzy's VPX Star Trek tables... SLAM's new U-Pro just released today is beautiful...the bump mapping combined tihe the new lighting, shadowmaps, new BAM dynamic physics (which seriously do play much better than FP ever did before), new RGB lighting feature for FP... and SLAM's own spin on it... it's by far my favorite version.... and it looks stunning in VR and 4K. You don't need a rom or VPX physics for a game to be great and enjoyed by many people.

All of SLAM's new releases today look amazing with the correct lighting set in BAM combined with the new Bump Maps. The mini-playfield stuff is really fun.

BAM's new features have brought FP a long ways. If you don't like it go back and play VPX. Not a single person in this entire thread has gone to other VP threads just to bash other people's work. Lot's of people like FP and SLAM's new tables... (and also VPX tables)... get over it.

Ravarcade has a donate button , as does Pin2DMD site...so that is cool by me.

I respect the work people are doing and am pleased to tip.

Heck I might even tip you if you promise to let go of your sardonic and cryptic posts...I'd gladly buy you a beer..

Rava has a donation button because he made a plugin, fair enough. All the best to that.

Rav. has a donation button, but I'm not aware that he makes special gifts to those who give. Personally I also gave, but if my memory is good at least twice end of the year 2012. It was the time when Russell was making VIP tables. And then, a little later, he disappeared and dropped these many admirers and its download site (ask the old .... if however you find their footsteps.) Ok, this is the past .... if someone donated to this site, I would be happy if he told us the gift he had

I just downloaded the last Russell table .... It lacks at least one name in the presentation of the table is it "rom" who made the models of this as well as "puma"
The models of this table were made by them, because I think that Russel does not make the models himself

It gives credit to Rom, Puma and Polygame right in the credits in the DMD during attract mode.

SLAM is actually really good at giving credit to those who helped in making the tables (or made most of the table). You will see credits either in-game on the DMD, on the Loading screen, in the table script, or on his site. It's always given on at least one of those. You notice that he usually lists the persons who made the table itself first, then himself.

He did try to sell access to a shared drive of exclusive reproduction of Bally/Williams/Stern, etc at one point. Ultimate VIP versions or something. He got a lot of pushback as I recall.

*shakes head

Here we go again!

Some people still aren’t sure about what settings to use for BAM for POV and Lighting for Ultimate Pro tables in a cabinet. This demo video show what settings I’m using for the table in the video.

(This is NOT a real gameplay demo! Just a quick demo of the settings used and bump mapping. I recorded this on my TV with it facing sideways :) )

https://youtu.be/X5IsSwsTYUk

M7oQ6BM.jpg

I included the BAM default.cfg file I used in this video. Just copy the default.cfg file to your BAM folder. Now all tables that load for the first time will use these settings.

For any table (or table already using other settings), just choose “Reset to Default” to use the settings from the default.cfg file.

Note: you will need to adjust the backbox size and position for your liking! (I made this file on my desktop pc, not my cabinet).

You can also adjust the Post Processing GAMMA settings if you find this too dark for your screen. 1.5 to 2 are usually good.

Also…there is a bug with Jaws Ultimate Pro 1.07 that only affects Cabinet users. A Red playfield texture needed to be assigned to a surface to be used for xBAM texture swapping. (It wasn’t used on any surface). This causes the playfield to look garbled for the drain and Ben Garner Lights. SLAM doesn’t use a cabinet, so he didn’t see this and didn’t know to fix it.

I have a temporary fix of the table here until I release my DOFLinx and PuP mod for the table.

https://drive.google...wC1FHsTq1VAajmT

(I messed up. This first link had a fixed table file without a zip extension on one of the included files (for custom ball texture). I just changed the link to a proper file!)

UPDATE: I originally uploaded the BAM.cfg file instead of the correct default.cfg file. Use the "NEW-BAM-default-cfg-File.zip" instead! DON'T use the "bam-default-cfg-file.zip" I originally had! (Thanks for the catch Outhere!)
