I just discovered this feature after updating.  Question: for games like BoP where there is a specific frame where the alphanumeric displays go in the graphical backglass, there is a "frame" around the characters that is preventing resizing correctly to fit in the backglass frame without covering the backglass graphics.  Am I missing a setting for the alphanumeric DMD to resize the frame around the characters for better placement on a backglass?

you can set the background to transparent?

click on the little gear symbol

Does the B2S have no display in it?

No I see the display and I can access the settings. I didnt know you could make the background transparent, though.

In freezy's you can

but if you are using alphanumerics on top of a B2S that already has score LED's
you may want to delete the LED arrays from the B2S

Yes, I know that part, I'm asking about "deleting the LED arrays from the B2S" because when you set the alphanumerics to transparent, the ones in the B2S show through.

Oh

download b2s designer

run it, click file, import and point it at the .directb2s file in question

when it loads in click to show reels and leds

select the LEDs and delete them

Then click backglass and create backglass

it will make a new b2s in the projects folder

Now just replace the existing one with the one it just created and you have a backglass with no built in LEDs to get in the way.

Wow that was so easy!  Here's what my third screen now looks like for BoP.  I needed a .res file for placement and sizing of the DMD on my third screen and manual editing of the DmdDevice.ini file for fine control of the alphanumerics (easier to place and adjust skew than using the GUI and drag and drop).

Thanks!

I've just started using this alphanumeric rendering and am really liking it. Just have a few questions - when first using a table, the alpha numeric displays appear on the playfield monitor. Obviously I just drag them on to my DMD monitor, but that can get a bit tricky when there are several alpha numeric displays (and the mouse cursor keeps disappearing!). Is there a way to make them appear on my DMD monitor by default on first use, so there's less dragging required? Also is there a way to set the default size of the alpha numeric displays, as I always have to make them bigger? Finally, is there any way to auto-arrange them on my DMD monitor (for even less dragging and resizing), maybe in the same way they are arranged when they are displayed as part of the default DMD? Thanks very much for any advice.
