Still not seeing/getting how you link a b2s backglass to an FX3 table

Hi,

I'm using the latest version 6.71
It supports the latest tables (Steam Zen Williams Volume 3)
All my toys work except the knocker (LINK_KN)
On the table "Theater Of Magic" I won several parts (the sound of the knocker triggered in the speakers of the software, but not materially)
Is it managed when you win a game (lottery or high score)?
Regards,
Phil

Phil, I will have to lookup if I managed to link the knocker in this game to be sure, but from memory I could not find the correct trigger.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it was Aliens that I made use every toy.

Followed the guide and managed to get DOFLinx working with FX3 tables... thanks! Now I'm looking at VP and was wondering what to put inside the SampleGameFlagFile.DOFLinx (TABLEFILE.DOFLinx) file as its empty?

I understand how to name the file, but not what to put inside it?

Is it auto generated perhaps?

In addition, is there any way to add multiple Launch before / Launch after commands in PinballX for VP as I already have stuff in there not related to DOFLinx?

Cheers

The file's existence is all that matters, it requires no content.

Multiple launch before / after to the best of my knowledge is .bat or .vbs, some sort of script.

Thanks DDH69.

Actually, the only thing in Launch Before/After for VP9 is something called "PACDrive.exe" (came with cab originally supplied by VPCabs) in Launch After, which apparently kills my PACLED64 (Zebsboards kit installed) every time to ensure no solenoids get stuck on.

Can I just omit it perhaps and risk it? Solenoids shouldn't just get stuck on should they???

Cheers

Solenoids should not get stuck on normally.  This can happen if a game stops unexpectedly - I have certainly done it with bad code while testing DOFLinx.  I don't have anything like this in my cabinet with a couple of LEDWiz and a Pinscape.  Ultimately your choice, solenoids do tend to get hot, if one is left on it could burn out.

I have two pinscape controller boards, and somehow they switched:

First one on 10-jun is how it should be and on 13-jun they he assigned wrong. Is there a way to force the device binding in DOFLINX?

Logfiles:

10-jun-19 10:57:48.196 - 2 Pinscape device(s) found
10-jun-19 10:57:48.220 - DOFLinx device: 1 Initializing as Pinscape #1 with name=Pinscape Controller
10-jun-19 10:57:48.247 - DOFLinx device:1 Pinscape setup with 22 outputs
10-jun-19 10:57:48.266 - DOFLinx device: 2 Initializing as Pinscape #2 with name=Pinscape Controller
10-jun-19 10:57:48.286 - DOFLinx device:2 Pinscape setup with 10 outputs

13-jun-19 19:53:14.077 - DOFLinx device: 1 Initializing as Pinscape #2 with name=Pinscape Controller
13-jun-19 19:53:14.100 - DOFLinx device:1 Pinscape setup with 10 outputs
13-jun-19 19:53:14.113 - DOFLinx device: 2 Initializing as Pinscape #1 with name=Pinscape Controller

There is no way to force the device in DOFLinx.

If you look at those logs it looks like your Pinscape ID's have been swapped.  DOFLinx loads the Pinscapes in order of their ID.  Have you perhaps reloaded them and changed Pinscape ID's via the Pinscape config tool?

Are you loading DOFLinx automatically at windows start up or doing it manually after windows is already running...

IF doing it with windows start up then tried doing it after windows is running and see if it's consistently the same...

Iif you doing it automatically you may have to put some kind of a time delay for DOFLinx start....

I start DOFLinx manually, so not at windows start. And it keeps assigning the wrong doflinx device #  pinscape #

How you start DOFLinx will have no impact on the issue you are experiencing.

The Pinscape ID is set on the Pinscape device.  DOFLinx has no input or control over this.  So on 10th June you had Pinscape device ID 1 with 22 outputs, on 13th June you had that as Pinscape Device ID 2.  It is that ID change on the device that is causing the change in order, DOFLinx loads Pinscape ID 1 first, then Pinscape ID 2, etc.

You have 2 choices;

1. Swap the Pinscape ID's back to the way they were using the Pinscape setup tool

2. Swap the device / port assignments in your DOFLinx.INI file

ok, thanks for the feedback.. I dont have time to solve this now, but will keep you posted. Swapping the IDS did work for the lights and comtractors.. but now the nudging is not working...  I noticed that windows only shows one pinscape controller in the usb gamingdevices settings... this might be an issue, because it always listed two before..

Note; The issue is mostly because I formatted and reinstalled windows.

For nudging your joystick numbers have likely swapped as well  ;)
