Hi,

My definition of reasonable would be about 75% of what I payed for all of the materials, no charge for labor. All of the feedback toys (except chime unit) installed & working - but no computer or software. I'm willing to sell it because I only need one cabinet. This is for pick up only in the Portland, OR area. I can help deliver it locally as I have a pickup and pinball skates. I'm not trying to make money on this - just room.

All the best,

garnel

OK, here's some details:

xtension 40" cabinet      1,000

Vizio 4K 60hz playfield     250

Polaroid 720p backglass  135

VSdisplay 14.9" DMD       130  Includes p/s & driver case
Stern knocker                     25

Stern Shaker                     100

10ea SW3 Solenoids        100

4ea 58mm SSF inducers   76

2ea Bass Impactors           98

8" subwoofer                      24

Nissan gear motor             23

2ea LP-838 amps for SSF 40

Kinter amp for back glass  27

Back glass speakers          22

Sainsmart 16 channel        15

32 channel LEDWIZ           50

SSF P/S                             23

Terminal Blocks, wire (lots of it), etc. 125

Total spent over $2,263

If you pick up ---- $2,263 X .75 = $1,697

If I'd had the opportunity to purchase this for this price when first starting out, I'd have bought it in a hot New York Minute.

I can hook up a computer and you can demo it to see that everything works - then I take the computer away since I'm using it on my new cab.

I also will include an unused, purchased new, Vizio v405-G9 as a spare playfield display, for an additional $225.

BTW, the oscilloscope in the pic with the SSF Amplifiers is NOT included in the sale. The StarTech 7.1 sound card in the pic is included.

Now, back to building the new machine - it's a hell of a lot of work with the flat pack assembly and installing all the toys, SSF, and wiring everything up! Hope to have it ready to hook up the computer this week.

Decided to build a WPC widebody from Virtuapin

I have an Asus 43" monitor on the way and decided to go the same route with a Virtuapin WB.  The Asus will not fit in a standard cabinet and although I really wanted to stay away from a widebody, I figured this was the best course of action for future WPC parts towards the build.    Shipping was about $86.

I've finally completed my new wide body cab so now am ready to let go of the standard body cab. Stupid question - how do you pop up a dedicated thread on this forum?

I just completed a wide-bodied pin cab using a gottlieb system 80 amazing Spider-Man. I want to build one more and I was able to locate a Stern iron Man which is a standard body.Like garnel mentioned on a previous post, you cannot find any 4K 40-in TVs anymore so there is my issue.virtua pin is excellent but much more costly. video cards for 4K capabilities are extremely expensive right now. any opinions or suggestions? should I stick with a 1080p 40 inch or is a 4K so much better that I should spend so much more money? I would appreciate some feedback.

Get a 4K screen, run it at 1080p until such time as a top end video card does not require the sacrifice of a first born.

Keep an eye out for a good price on a use 1080Ti or rx 5700 etc

If you decide to go with the standard body, I would recommend the Vizio 40" 4K tv. They are reasonably priced and you can easily move from 1080p to 4k when the graphics card prices come down. I used one in my first table and it worked great using a GTX 1650 - then upgraded to an ASUS GTX 1070 which worked with the Vizio at 4K 60hz. If you are on a budget and decide on the standard body - that would be a good way to go.

Now that China has severely restricted Bitcoin mining, graphics card prices should moderate somewhat.

You could try to order a used 40" Samsung or similar 4k tv online, but I would be cautious about ordering used tv's online - I ordered and returned four different used Samsung 40" UHD TV's from four different ebay vendors. Three arrived with defective screens - and one was lost by UPS during shipping. Received refunds for all but it was a royal pain in the ass. Also ordered a new TCL 32" for the back glass - it arrived with a "bloom" on one side of the screen so returned it and received a replacement. That's a total of five returned tv's in one month!

Went with the Virtuapin wide body for the second table - 43" 4K tv's are widely available - and you can by them locally - no more "defective screen" issues. My goal was to make the virtual table better than a real electro mechanical machine.

Cabinet - Virtuapin Wide Body flat pack.

Playfield - 43" Sony x85j - 4k 120hz - purchased locally - not shipped!

Backglass - 32" TCL 1080p 60hz.

DMD - 14.9" vsdisplay unit.

Computer - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 32 gig memory.

Graphics Card - Asus RTX 2070 OC 8G

My standard body table now sits in the garage - working well - but unused.

another issue that I am encountering is that most 40-in TVs are either 20.4 or 20.5 in wide and the stern iron Man gives me about 20.25 in with. so much easier with a wide-bodied cab. it sounds like you're saying that I am better off waiting for the cards to come down in price and be able to get 4k going on the cabinet over the 1080 p. it looks that much nicer huh?

2K looks worlds apart from 1080p

4K on a 43" screen is about like running 2K on a 32" screen (cause the 32" screen is kinda too small to make 4k shine as at 2k, the pixels are already miniscule, you need to play the magnifying glass game to see them)

For that ironman cab
You will probably need to get the 40" LCD panel out of the case, so you are just dealing with the panel, and its frame.

You should be able to fit it in then

I think it's more personal preference. The biggest improvement was going to the Sony with a 120hz refresh rate. I notice TCL now has a 43" 120hz UHD tv for less $ than the Sony. Some features on VPX act differently with my GTX1650 versus the 1070 or 2070 graphics cards. For example - the Trolls in VPX Medieval Madness don't pop up with the 1650, but do pop up and function with the 1070 or 2070.  The 120hz refresh rate makes the ball motion smooth as silk. If you run FX3 you'll notice the screen savers are not choppy as they appear at 60hz - but are smooth.

Or, you could concentrate on your wide body and spend the funds on a 43" 4K playfield and later on an upgraded graphics card.  It will run the VPX version "Iron Man" and play great on your wide body's 43" display.

thanks a lot for the input guys I really appreciate it. good information! I think I'm going to wait to find a wide body cab somehow to take advantage of the 4K and 43 in. I will look out for a used video card

I’m glad I chose the standard size. My cab is on my second floor. Getting it there was quite the ordeal and I don’t think the extra size of a widebody would have been able to make it at the 180 degree turn on the stairs

just curious when you say you "chose the standard size".

do you mean you made a pincab standard size of a real PB of 48inches and 22-24 wide PF with the standard size backglass?
