Cv platinum has I believe 1 dynamic/moving model. This table has 5 on the low poly version and quite a bit more on the high poly version.
So I'm not really sure what to say.
I designed the table to look as good as possible and still play on my system.
I don't have a cabinet so I play on one screen rotated on a wall mount right now.
The high poly table plays smooth for me at 55 to 60 fps vsync set to auto it's even smoother
The low poly plays smooth for me
On a convertible ultraviolet/tablet with integrated Intel 4000 graphics and 2 gb shared ram.
I could dumb the table down, but then what would have been the point in even updating it
Maybe a dev can shed some light as to why this plays on some systems and not others.
My ultraviolet is by far not a powerful system with a small amount of memory and Intel graphics and it plays smooth yet people with desktops with full desktop pcs and 550 and above nvidia graphics get stutter. I don't get it.
As for the alpha gi. I did it the way I like it, the table is free to mod without approval so feel free to change it however you likeUltrabook not ultraviolet. Damn autocorrect.

I played one quick game so far and I get NO stutter on my VirtuaPin fyi.

Thought I would post again incase it was missed in the other thread! :-)

Scott, wow just had some time to really play and I've got to say awesome, awesome and awesome... Thank you....

Intel Core i7-960 Bloomfield 3.2GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
2X EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1372-AR GeForce GTX 460
Windows XP
3 screen cab

(High Polly) PcKiller
I'm getting
250 FPS but the table is choppy

(Low Polly) version
I'm getting
300 FPS runs smooth and nice even with 4 ball multi ball... :-)

It's weird as it seems people are getting a better playing experience on XP... VP is crazy...

Also to note I'm not running db2s, just a static backglass though hyperpin.. LED wiz is activated. I've also changed the lamptimer to 55

When you delete the nvram it resets the volume. Go in the operators menu and turn it back up

Earlier in this thread that was brought up. You need to delete your current nvram. Then frank will stand up

@Pinball999 - that should be the NVRAM deletion aspect that UW mentions in the release notes and can be found earlier in this thread - after sifting through all the stutter talk :)

Thanks a lot. I got these results even after deleting the Nvram. But I'll try to do it again and redownloading the version.

What FPS do you get if you hit F11, DreamTrap?    I'm curious if it's in the 200+ range like the XP people or barely above 60.

Win 7 64bit, i7 3.5-3.9 ghz, 1.28gb nvidia 570 GPU

Killer version: has frame rate issues but is playable. Strangely enough, has less frame rate issues when the ball is at the top of the playfield compared to the bottom.

Non-Killer version: has a little bit of micro stutter, very playable as long as I set the vsync to on, mildly annoying stutter during multiball but does not get in the way of gameplay. However, the flippers do indeed seem to be affected via delayed reaction just a tiny bit. Strangely, the ball seems smoother when it's at the bottom of the playfield rather than the top.

Both versions: the toys (drac and Frank) look incredible but there are frame pauses in their movements. Strangely enough the mummy door is perfectly smooth, I mean buttery smooth. I gather the door is done in a different way than that other two toys?

Scott: what an amazing job, well done! I have a good rig but as evident in this thread, most people having problems are on win7, so the large part of this issue seems to be either driver related or some kind of poor direct 7 legacy support in win 7. Your table itself is a masterpiece. I do think its probably a good idea to test a version with lower quality textures. Although there may not be a Difference on your rigs, as we can see from the various posts, who knows, its possible many pcs out there will see a big improvement

Win 8 64bit, i5 3570k OCed, 16Gb ram, Gtx 670, Newest drivers and newest Daily VP version, with DB2S and Ledwiz.

I have some minor ball stutter on the pc killer cab version. It's playable though. I've tried changing many different settings in both nvidia cp as well as VP. The only other table that I get stutter on is Apollo 13 with the 13 ball multiball going.

Great table UW!

Thanks
Junky

Well, my problem is resolved, even the pc killer is running smooth though I have not hit multiball yet. I hope not everyone was as stupid as I was when trying the vsync and regional options by changing them in the global video options instead of the table section. I don't know which helped or which didn't but I got much smoother (I would say near perfect) by adjusting these in the table section itself.

Naturally changing them in the global section is rendered moot by whatever setting is in the table section. Keep this in mind. I gather those with "-1" setting means "use the global settings" but not all of them had -1 ;)
Forgot to add: this really is an awesome table man. The only glitch is sometimes when the ball goes through one of the mummy lanes (the far left one) it keeps bouncing back up so one per game it does this loop thing where by changing the lanes with the flipper, I will get up to something like 15x pretty easily. Also noticed some ball stutter when the ball goes up the plunger lane, probably caused by the white light "Lens" effect maybe?
