Does 10.7 support the use of a mouse for a plunger?

1. Select Preference / Editor / UI Options

2. Uncheck the Ball control always on  :-  step 3 to 5 will not work if Ball control is not unchecked.

3. Select Preference / Configure Keys, Nudge and DOF.

4. Select Enable Mouse handling during Play.

5. In the Button Assignments section select the black triangular arrow head that sit next to the pull down menu under the Plunger.

At the bottom of the list you will find the mouse control options.

    Enjoy

Dear Wiesshund & Ravjee,

sorry to hear that, i have just tested step 1 to 5 with a Microsoft Joystick & mouse. The test was successful in 10.6 & 10.7.

I think my mouse is a Dell one. Does it matter what brand it is? Also can you tell us what options we are supposed to see? A screenshot would be great.

I have a curiosity about flippers, if they are optimized to work one way only,

because if I reverse the start angle with the end angle, it may be that the ball passes through the flipper.

Dear VPX Developers,

please find enclosed a non critical bug report (rev4368)

When you delete a wall control point the wall is deleted from the Layers.

To correct the bug :- Save,Close & Open the table to restore the deleted wall.

Many Thanks

should not be, as that is how you make the flippers for tables that use outboard facing flippers

and those tables do work

Yes, this error have been in VPX for many years, but it is only in the editor. During the game you can move the flashers in any direction by changing their coordinates, as I do in my ball shadow routine.

But I agree with you, I really should like if the coordinates could be set up in the editor too.

Happy new year everybody !

I come back to you with a question I asked in VP10.6 times

Is an "offset" function possible with VP10.7 ?

For example, if one want to add a transparent surrounding to a plastic

What reference point do you would like to use to add an offset? Transparency is done with textures not with the mesh vertices.

The plastic is a wall, and I'd like to copy it and then apply a "x" mm offset to the new wall

Then I have just to add Top and Side materials to this wall (see below)

118.jpg

At this time I have to move every control point of this wall manually

because if I reverse the start angle with the end angle, it may be that the ball passes through the flipper.

Maybe because the flipper doesn't work as it should,

is because I had the rotation command inside a subroutine commanded by a timer,

even if within an "IF statment" which in theory shouldn't do anything.

It's a bit tricky to handle flippers via script, it's not as simple as it may seem,

it's not all clear to me yet, but what I wanted to do I managed to do it.

Ran into a small issue with 10.7 and cant find the option.  My Layers window is separate window, according to the change log..

o layer handling is now in a seperate window. Uncheck the checkbox to hide a complete layer or single elements.

Is there a way to not have this option?

copy wall, paste wall, right click the new wall, pick scale
poke in a number, like 1.01
keep scaling until it is the size you want

then change the appropriate visuals and materials

can you show a picture of what you mean?
the layers screen can be docked or be a separate floating window

which ever you like

Yes.  I am trying to get the layers screen docked and can not seem to find out how.  Tired dragging in back in and closing the layers screen by clicking the red x and nothing.

I figured it out.  Needed to drag it to one of the icons that appeared on the screen while dragging.
