The new board won't be ready for a long time Hehe. Don't feel like u should of waited Hehe. Won't start making them until iv sold the second batch of 100 pinDMDs any way

Hi all, so this may not be related to the DLL but i have started to get some line0 errors on tables that worked before?.
I am on XP64 and know this sometimes causes this error but why start now.
Two examples are TFTC that now errors at the start and the simpsons nite mod errors part way through game (need to check the error though).
So is anyone else seeing this?, any feedback will help.

that is strange the .dll is the reverted version.

are these vb script errors or the actual .dll crashing out?

it might not be the dll. When i fire my pc up the dmd comes up with your logo.....i let it sit like that and walk away for 10 minutes. When i get back its flickering pretty good. I am not even in program or anything. I'm thinking DMD issue

Just checked simpsons again and yep its a line0 error mid game?.
Thats with the older reverted .DLL (penultimate one).
One other thing that i need to try is reverting back to the vanilla build of vp and not the joypad version with a 4gb patch added.
Will report back.

iv run quite a few tests leaving the board running for 24hours and it handles this fine.

the whole display......it cuts in and out.....im talking with my contact at future electronics..seems to start cutting in and out about 8-10 minutes after just firing the pc up...im pretty sure its the display

Panic over russ, my errors were caused by using koadics build of vp, all is fine when running vanilla build.
Guess i`d better go read koadics thread now.

which Vishay DMD are you using?

im using my pc 650w......i will try using diff one....im using the lee-128g032-1

a good test to make sure its not the pinDMD thats resetting is to open a game and close it. so the DMD is showing the .txt logo.
when the DMD starts to reset. if its flickering with this .txt logo image (this means the pinDMD is ok and is not resetting) but if the image resets to the pinDMD default logo. it is probably some thing wrong with the pinDMD

which firmware are you running on the pinDMD?

yes after about 10 minutes......didnt check for hotness will do when i get home

i cant rememeber also will check when i get home....at the final stages dont want it to start falling to pieces at this point in the game...lol

is a weird one, no one else has said any thing about the board resetting after 8-10min
iv left mine on for 24hours a few times now for testing and had no problems hehe

running the .txt logo test will confirm if its a pinDMD fault or not though

it doesnt reset it just flashes.....when i turned on pc it was fine....then about 1 minute in afm it started cutting in and out..so i got out...did not see the dmd txt logo...got into fish tales...started but right away started flashing.....got out...no dmd txt logo...played got into kiss....played 2 full games for about 10 minutes was fine.....no flashes at all...as soon as i went to get out of table started again but could now see the HYPERPIN dmd logo txt file but was still flashing version 3 but dmd says v2

hmm ok, i dont think its a pinDMD fault as if this was resetting it would be losing that image.
can you take a video of the fault?

another member had a similar problem happen when he did not give the display enough current it just cut out and flashed like yours is.

i think trying another power supply is probably the next best move

changed the inline fuse on the +5v and played a few games with no skip....the fuse looks good and doesn't look blown. I am going to leave it one for a few to make sure but it was promising playing a few tables with no skipping

ok cool

a fuse would not cause that flickering would it? once a fuse is blown its blown? the display would not come back on?
or was it hooked up to some sort of trip switch fuse?

or maybe bad connection some where?

Maybe possible it wasn't making a good connection or passing enough voltage? Haven't had that issue on mine, but I do get the occasional flicker on heavy animations.
