Hello, Dna-D;Hi Gregg,
Well, I sit back with my primitive AGP desktop playing mostly VP8 tables and thinking that the failure of submitted scores to register will pass me by because I'm not playing FS, B2S, Hyperpin, or Vulcan 3D Chess.....so guess what?! I pulled 97 Million out of the hat on VP8 Bad Cats last night, hit YES on the PeH 1.5 interface, then checked the PINemHi website and the score didn't get there. So, I fell back on my old faithful Jack*Bot, submitted the 59M that I wrung out of it, and it logged just as it always has.
Back in December and January, I successfully submitted several scores on Bad Cats, and have changed nothing at my end between then and now. While I have been reading about everybody's difficulties recently, my lame computer keeps me from playing tables to which I would apply the remedies that have surfaced, hence the use of PeH1.5 instead of 2.1 or newer (I don't have to open the .ini to switch from VP8 to VP9).
As far as VP9 is concerned, I did try to submit a Bad Cats score through PeH2.1 in late December, I believe, but was unsuccessful; since I have some nagging issues in my non-pinball life, I just filed that away as something to be looked into later. Methinks there'll be some retro reading involved.
Helluva way to say, "Hi", ain't it?
Cheers
Gregg
I have a solution for you , if you just rename pinemhi_leaderboard.exe in your 1.5 directory to something else.
Then download the 2.1.2 version , copy the pinemhi_leaderboard from that version to your 1.5 directory.
I believe with that your submitting problems are over....if for some reason it's not working you can always put the old one back.
So just pinemhi_leaderboard.exe replace , nothing else.
And there is also a solution if you want to play an older version of afm with the new version 2.1.2
You can adjust the names in the xml and put the old name of a table instead of the new table (make sure it's a table that was supported earlier of course and that the name is correct (original tablename)
The scores will be submitted but you can only find them in the retired section...
However you can use these to perform challenges and get badges.
Hope this helps and Gregg ,
