Here is a variation on the Virtual Pinball side but with some larger images of the tables.  I will offer up this Virtual Pinball Art set in the next few days once complete.

GenericPinballCableftsideStraightImagesS

Front art is now done so these ones are now complete.  I will try and upload to Skydrive from work tomorrow.

VirtualPinballCabAllArtworkFinalsmall.pn

Hi Stuzza and gang. I used this artwork for my cab and just sent the PDFs to Brad Bowman for printing. Since I have PS5 I removed the plunger and button holes and resized the coin drawer opening. Also added my Rowe-Bot-Ball text.

Edit: Used the straight layout but both are cool.

Glad you liked them!  Just a general tip for those printing as you did.  You should remove or hide the layer containing the hole and coindoor guides etc.. They are simply guides and are never meant to be printed.  The printed graphic should have no white spaces inside it at all.  You stick down the art, trim off the excess and then cut out the holes wherever your door, buttons, plunger etc are.

Update on download links:  I have fixed a few more so all but about 9 should be working now.  Will continue to fix......

As an FYI and to follow up on Stuzza's post, Brad Bowman recommended oversizing the artwork all around by 1.5" to allow for edge bleeds. He also wanted me to provide right side backbox and side art images. He likes the files in 8 bit TIFF or PDF format. I gotta go back into PS5 and rotate/move some of the layers to make these. Any easy tips Stuzza?

I've had PS5 since 2007 but really only used it in the past to fix old family photos and Kodachrome slide scans. I wish I had Stuzza's chops and skill set :love39:

What I did after making some PS5 adjustments to the art work was save it as a jpeg image. I then exported the jpg into Inkscape which is a free vector art program. I changed the image properties from pixels to inches. You will see Stuzza's artwork is HUGE to allow for scaling. My cab is 52" wide so I set the width to 53.5". It also has metric settings for those not brain damaged like us Americans who use only Imperial. And so on. I then check the artwork to make sure anything I consider important, like text, is not cut off.

I will post pics in a few weeks when art is applied.

THANKS AGAIN STUZZA!

EDIT: PDFs sent to Bowman printing and should be mailed Wed. Pretty easy to flip the layers to create the right sides.

Thanks for the info. :)

Most of the art (at least 80% of the stuff I have given out free) should have a 1cm "bleed" area around the edge.  So once you remove the cab outline top layer the actual printable image should be an extra 1cm around the entire outside.  This allows for wiggle room while installing.  Some of the art includes both left and right side already, but others you will need to create out the right hand side by flipping the canvas and adjusting text elements etc...

These files were never meant to be a download and print without editing option.  They were to give people some nice high res files that could quickly and easily be edited to fit their own cabs.  I have seen so many examples where people have grabbed these files printed them and then just cut them down to fit the cab.  The result is art that just looks a bit wrong as bits are cropped off or lost or not aligned.  Please if you are using these files take the time to measure your cab and scale the art accordingly.

My process for creating the print ready files:

  • Adjust the art to the size of your cab.
  • Once art is finished and you are happy with placement of all elements etc, hide or delete all outline/template layers. - e.g. white outline, coindoor guide, button holes etc...
  • Flatten all layers.
  • Save the document as a PDF. - I also at this stage turn off all compression settings.  This means the PDF files are large but ensures 100% best quality print - zipping up the files to send to your printer will make them small enough to upload to any file sharing site (onedrive, google etc..).  Please note that if you save out as a JPG you are actually compressing the image and losing some quality.  Saving as a TIFF should be fine also, but check with your printer for preferred file format.

Dude, amazing stuff! Truly sick.  Ever considered a career in pinball? You mentioned awhile ago you were working on a T2 theme. Ever complete it? I'm interested.

Download Links Update:

Have slowly been fixing all the dead links on my Onedrive.  So by my count all but 4 of the links should be working fine now.

The only ones I have which still need to be fixed are:

Lego Movie (Photoshop CS6)

Marvel (Photoshop CS6)

Multiball collage (Photoshop CS6)

Walking Dead Pinball

The download link will always be updated on the very first page of this massive thread if you ever need to find it quickly.  Otherwise here is the direct link:

Onedrive Free PInball art:  https://onedrive.liv...AJ09yieMeJ0pWaE

Hopefully will have them back up within the week.  sorry for the slow progress but upload speed is so slow for me here.

You must be on NBN Stuzza. Don't even get me started on NBN.

Anyway, here is my nearly completed cab with Stuzza's artwork. Sensational.

That is just a "layer" in the Photoshop files.  You just hide the cutout layers, and then you see the graphic without the "coin door holes."

So they all (as far as I know) have the option to be printed with or without the white markings for any of the cutouts/holes.

Have you uploaded this monsters one?

I am still mocking this up and need to redraw a few things.

Thanks Stuzza for some of the elements

Any suggestions or comments on this one ?

The idea is to have the edges distressed so when the cab gets knocked and scratched it adds to the patina, while the inside graphics stay clean and sharp.

i am thinking white or red powder coated legs and trim ?

No.  Sorry, that one was never a free download so will not be made available.  One day I'll sort out all the previews into free downloads and custom jobs to make things more clear.  But basically if you don't see it downloadable in my Onedrive folder then it is not available as a free editable file.

We should be happy that he does any of these for free.  If it is truly the one that you want, then I am sure payment for services could be arranged to have Stuzza create one just for you that is really similar (to keep the original commissioner's artwork unique).
