asked how much and they said have to ask the distributors. i have emailed the ONLY ONE for uk LOL. maybe some one wants to try the MILLION's for the states lol

part number is 520-5052-15 it should be a 5v LED 128x32 DMD direct replacement



was reading a recent stern parts manual and all the LED DMD part codes where wrapped in (EU) does this mean only EU Stern pinball machines are fitted with the LED DMD's? are all the States ones using Plasma DMD's?

Stern started using LED DMDS in all of their export games a few titles back, but it wasn't until AC-DC that the LED-DMD became standard.
The LED-DMD will be the DMD they use until they switch over to LCD in a couple of titles from now.
All AC-DC both domestic and export games will have the LED-DMD, so anyone can order one today from a Stern distributor in the USA.

Just put in a call to my favorite local distributer in Texas.
He is calling Stern today to find out what he can get them for.
He is also asking if there are any quantity price breaks to help with cost.
I will post here as soon as I hear back.

I just called one of the distributers in California and they quoted $675.00 for the Stern DMD.

OK. Stern is very proud of these displays.
My distributer, who I am good friends with asked Stern if they would give quanity discounts and they told him no.
He can buy them but even if he only puts in a 2% profit they would still cost us $550.
He is going to check to see if he can locate some Vishay boards for us instead that run on 5 or 12 volts.
I gave him the part numbers from Future Eletronics to use as a reference.

Now if we could only figure out where Stern is buying them from....
I have an AC/DC coming in mid May. I will look at the display unless someone has access to one sooner.

plasma's seem to be the way to go hopefully russ can figure out some sort of power management for them.

im getting ready to mount my DMD... how is everyone mounting theres?.....i notched a groove for it to sit in and got some spacers...also want to put a piece of plexi in front of it to keep it from easily being damaged..just wondering how other people with dmd's did it..thanks

Why not just use the 4 screw holes like it was built for.
You could attach regular threaded screws to the speaker panel like it was originally intended or even just use spacers and wood screws to attach it from the back side.
Luckily I used an original speaker panel from a Twilight Zone that already had the mounting screws in the correct place.
