A little off the subject. I manually typed in the code for the fix. I tried to copy and paste. I could copy it, but the paste option would not show up. My cab is not connected to the internet, so I was trying to copy/ paste to a USB drive to transfer to the cab. Basic computer question, but the my computer knowledge is pretty basic:). So..is there another way to do it?

Redid all my steps. Never played this long time without a problem before. But, I seem to be a magnet when it comes to breaking something ;-)
Just as the ball was shot out of the saucer it was hit by another ball on its way down. That broke it. Shots to the joker eyes after that ended ended up with lost balls.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I played for about 30 minutes and have mixed results. Initially the table played pretty good and both the joker and the multi ball functioned as expected. After a couple of games I shot the left hole several times in consession and all of a sudden it lost the ball.. After searching for it twice it gave me a new ball. After that the table just went nuts and locking balls or shooting the joker or the left hole resulted in the same routine in which it searches for the ball. Quitting the table and restarting did not solve it and the strange behaviour was still there. A full reboot gave me a 'normal' game. I was not able to reproduce this in the next games... weird.

Did manage to get a better score during the normal games :).

Other thing I noticed is a two ball game all of a sudden during play ( launched the ball and almost immediately it launched a second ball).

Will keep on testing to see what could trigger this strange behavior.

A download link with all suggested modifications to the table can be found here:

@sensless Your description sums it quite nicely up for me as well. Though I haven't experienced two balls. Great score though. Every time I feel that this is the round - something happens. Batman don't like me, simple as that.

If the machine isn't connected to the internet or any local network - sure, the easiest way to make that change sounds to be the way you do it. Why you can't copy and paste sounds really weird though. You only copy the text of this gtxjoe' post. You open - lets say notepad since it is simple ascii text and then save that as batman_gtxjoe_fix.txt on your usb drive. In the cab you just do  it the other way around. Open table - find the text gtxjoe said needed to be changed ... delete it ... and make some space around while your at it - because it easier to see that the paste is correct that way. Then just open the text-file - select all the text and choose paste - into the open space you made in the script.

I'm sure this is what you did ... but, just in case it wasn't.

Another way though ... why not install VP on the other computer. It doesn't need to be working. You just need the editor ... then when you have internet, it would be easier to edit the script and after you done - save the table you just fixed to the usb and replace he version you have there already. Just a though.

@BobAlBright: I basically have the same approach as Thalamus and do all table editing on a separate pc with vp installed. When I copy the altered table to the pincab I export the pov settings from the original table on the cab and import them on the new table to save me time in configuring the view. You can also download the table firm the link I posted, saves you the trouble of editing the table :). @Thalamus: I just know you will surprise us with a nice score just to kick Batman's ass ;).

:bye2:

I paste gtxjoe's script-changes and test. In the first four games, the ball is lost three times in the joker kickerhole.

So it seems, that's no solution. Sometimes the ball comes after 20 or 30 seconds in the plunger.

But the solution of gtxjoe for the ramp error is OK. :otvclap: With the hack of the new kicker it's gone.

I go back to the original settings and insert gtxjoe's new kicker for the ramp.

After a few games no ball is lost, but I mostly play for the kickerhole in the left and the eyes and mouth.

I will try more games tomorrow.

For some very odd reason I've been playing flawlessly over one hour. What irritates me that once the table behave I play like shi/(/& :-)

I haven't change anything at all from my last post where I couldn't play a few game without problems. I did a little change however. I ran with the beta vpx, but there is no reason at all why this should work better. So, it seems like a intermittent problem and I think you did good job gtxjoe. At least now, with some luck you might be able to get some rounds without issues.

I just love the sound when you get the Jackpot on this table - so, I guess I can't give up just yet :-) Thank you all for your fixes.

Hah - was getting on my nerves for sure. Lets see what happens ... Friday ...

I played another solid hour and table is working good.

Noticed: never press F3 to reload, always add credit before game, wait a few seconds before you press start

That is what I was trying to do. I copied it to a text file --saved as "fix". But when I go to my USB device, the paste option doesn't show up. Thought I was misssing something. Anyhow, I'm downloading from his dropbox now. Thanks

I thought for a while that the problem was fixed. Just played about 20games and then it happened ---the left saucer thing. Progress though. It had been happening a lot more often before.

Sadly it makes no sense to play with these bugs. Great table if all runs well.

I make another few games. The first two works. Then in the third the left kicker eats the ball and after 20 seconds a new ball was spit out in the plunger.

And after this in every new game the error occurs. The table recognize it. :-)

I have to start the table completely new and it works again for a short time.

Then I have lock ball 1 in Flugelheim, lock2 flashes, I shoot in Flugelheim during the counting, but it is not noticed and the time runs to 0.

If it is at 0, the ball was spit out of Flugelheim and I can shoot again and it happened over and over again.

So I'm out for this week until a new version is coming out. It is a pity. :bye2:

It's that damn Joker playing tricks on us! Tonight I'm going to play Taxi and Diablo just because I can :). Next week we choose a table without issues for sure!

Yeah, well. I've recognised one of my faults as a pin player is that I don't play well when frustrated. I've come to love this game - quite a lot, even though we where not able to fix it completely. I wansn't that happy at first. But, I would love to find this in the willd.  GtxJoe' fix is - I don't know, almost there. For me it seems, if there is any issue of the ball release from the saucer the game will fuck you over. I think we did try our best go get it working in a weeks time - but, failed. My best score was actually of a game where I could not do more jackpots.  No hard feelings towards you ganjafarmer, you picked a  great game that, needs  more work. But, please - don't pick 1. day releases for the future. ( hmrmrdf .. bob .. wish .. awsome .. nudge - deserve picked .. ).

I hope that this tables is going to be worked upon and maybe fixed for the future. But, for me, I've struggled to much with balls getting lost just as I have a good game. Well, I fucked it up as well with cut/paste ;-)

My vote for this weeks is like this - we didn't manage to get the pin to work 100% - so, why shouldn't we just agree that Bob get to pick the next game right now. We all know what that will be - but, well, he deserves this. He has gone from unknown to almost winner in a couple of weeks in a row. That's my suggestion.

@senseless : no disrespect of you score. At the current standing - you're in my mind the clear winner ( currently ).

Sorry guys, great table but i didn't expect that kind of issues.

Next time don't pick fresh table until it's fully tested.

Sorry again and good luck next week. Will be playing with you, don't worry :)

Awesome--I say Theatre of Magic. Great table, and a very hard challenge to complete and "beat' the table. I really like the "hat" mod which I picked up at a differerent site.

Me and Mrs Tox have been hammering the real table for the past month or so trying to get to the grand finale and I can vouch for this one being a hard table to beat.
I'm looking forward to playing this visually and will also use the hat mod table.

Good luck everyone!
