DNADisturber:  Okay thanks for the link, but that might be the first table not listed here at VPforums or it is NOT in the FS section of VPforums, that is part of your FS list. You might want to change the title to reflect that it is indeed a FS version.

WinXP Firefox: been posting fine the last four attempts here.

Okay next round.....

Trying to find out if browsers make a difference
So people with no to very little problems submitting scores let me know what your default browser is.
And also if you have much trouble , let me know what your default browser is.

Me:

No problems on 2 different pc' s. - Firefox

I rarely have problems submitting. Using Chrome with windows 7

Default browser is Chrome on both (laptop/win7x64 & cab/winXP).  But I'm wondering if my "no more submitting at all" does not correspond to the moment I changed default browser from FF to Chrome.

I don't understand why browser could make a difference with submitting, but might try to go back to FF

That's not up to me but the author of the table.

I just want to make sure everybody plays the same table (and there is no other table named the same as this one).

So for me it's not a problem but i can understand that you would want it in the name.

If you come across other tables that aren't on this site , best is to do a search in hyperpin website forum - HyperPin-Table-Mods-and-Artwork

Default browser = FF doesn't change anything, still no submitting.

Any other idea ?

Ditto here Dedrok, I Played earthshaker and I got a free game at 3,9xx,xxx million and posted it.  Went and checked and it worked, so I thought, I'll see if I can improve it.  Played two more games and got a 7 million game posted it, got the thumbs up!, but when I looked back at PINemHI it wasnt there!!! Same thing with posting a beginning score with Congo. the first one of 1.4Billion posted, then after an hour or more game the 11Billion score got the thumbs up in PINemHI but didn't post as well.

Can anyone tell me how the alt exe in games.xml works.  When playing Cue Ball Wizard with the VP v450 I get the Cue ball falling onto the flippers.  So this must be the case where you need an alt.exe.  Acording to JP Salas on the table thread, it needs VP9.13, so I figured VP9.14 would work as well.  I tried the table without PINemHI leaderboard running an it works, the games.xml shows an alt.exe, so shouldnt it use VP9.14 and play the same or is there something else I must do for it to work?

I got some weird stuff going during multiball in another game, when the balls collided they grew bigger and bigger like they occupied the same space and gobbled each other up.  and NO, I wasn't smoking anything funny, or tripping!! Before all the balls disappeared they were the size of baseballs on my 47" monitor.  Wouldnt even run a ball search.    so weird!!  I'll try to remember what game it was.  I literally just was like WTF!!  So it is still hard to have faith in a long game getting posted. Is there a timing issue with doing the same table HS  consecutively?

Hi android ,

You can use 2 different vpinball executables.
Fill them in in your ini file. For instance vp9.12 for the normal one and for the alt one vp9.14
Then in the xml file you can fill in the exe field with alternate.
This way the program knows that it should use the one that you filled in vp9alt in the ini-file.
That's basically it

As i knew that some of the tables needed a newer version i already filled them in the xml-file for instance cue ball

And you're in denial about your drugsproblem lol ;)

About the scores not entering
You should try to send two small scores after each other to see if that works....
I never have problems but maybe it's the big scores that are an issue ?
As i never got the big scores , i mainly do testing scores.
Dedrok mentioned big scores are a problem.

So yeah maybe time or big number related ?!?

No, I have done the quick small score test and same result.

So what I need to do now is choose a game (not having played today)

then (try to) put up a decent score and make it my 1st submit of the day. Then see what happens.

We never used to have trouble with say, a 3hr game followed by another 2 hr game both posting ...... or also posting 10 or 15 consecutive games. So I dont think that would be it.

As you suggested earlier , you could also try an older version to see if that one hasn't got the problems.

They all work as i made sure people could still use it, only thing is that your score maybe goes to the retired section as it can be an older table

I tried back as far as 2.0 but good point on the retired section. I will try an even older version but try tables that are still valid.

You can try the retired tables as well.....scores can still be submitted....only you have to look in the retired section.

Made some tries with Flintstones (small scores), with last 2.11 version, 2.0, and back to 1.6, giving all authorization to start_pinemhi exes in ZoneAlarm, even closing ZoneAlarm, but none of them did register on the website.

Each time everything looks right on my side so it might not be "lastaccess" related : score does appear in the submit window, got the thumb up saying it's submitted, and back to menu. No crash of VP since I use E as exit key.

As it's reaching port 80, I don't think my router is blocking it.

I need it to work but I don't know what to do now :(

Clear cache ? you mean browser's cache ?

edit : tried to clear cache from both chrome & FF, but that does not change anything

I can ping 46.235.47.48 (can you confirm this is the right ip ?)

Is there a way to have a send test in another way than submitting score ?

Well, I was playing ARFM FS and posted a 7billion+ score within  a half an hour and posted a 9billion+ score and surprisingly both scores posted same day....I was like yes!!!!!,,

butt, and thats a BIG BUTT>>>>> today I played about ten games and got ROTU with 29billion score and posted it....got the thumbs up, but no score SOB.....I did screenshot the ROTU,  just before I input my final G in GAG.

The score was inconsequential as ARFM and AFM use the same rom, and I got so many High Scores and ROTUs from AFM that I knew it wouldnt show up.....Anyways its why I havent tried lately.....Its so HIT AND MISS with posting..... screenshot...
