Why does ball slow down after kicker hole?

My guess is that friction with whatever surface or object redirects the ball from 'up' to 'lateral' imparts a little backspin, and the dissipation gives the stop-and-go.

Great little demo, indeed!

Now, thats what I call a qualified guess ;)

Indeed, however, I already answer and it was not that ;):

wow that really looks like you have very fine control over accuracy, which is awesome.  Can't wait to see the script.  Why does ball slow down after kicker hole.  Almost like it has to slow down to fit between 2 rubbers.  Great little demo

Actually, the outgoing animation is "manual". It seems that it is a bit too fast regarding the kicker force... not a physical problem though.

To be more specific: the kicking ball is first animated manually before sending the actual force and letting the physics engine to handle it. So, my animation speed is too fast comparing to the force applied at the end of it... no big deal...

I just saw Bilbox' videos on YouTube and I was completely blown away! VERY nice job!

I was wondering if you could explain exactly what´s Unity3D role on this project and what you suggest is a good starting point (resources, tools, programs, plugins, etc) to create a pinball table from scratch for this system?

Additionally I'd like to know if there is anything I can do to contribute?

Congratulations! keep up the good work!

Hey Bilbox,

About the donations, I've received a mail explaning that the money was transfered back to my account with the following reason:

"Brian Smith a paramétré dans les préférences de réception de paiements l'acceptation ou le rejet manuel(le) de ce type de paiement."

Any idea why?

I don't think the French guy needed the translation :P

Looks like destruk set payment acceptance on manual or something like that...

Haha. Translated it so each person that reads it does not have to if they do not speak French. :)

Almost perfect :)

It should be "Brian Smith set the preferences of payment receipt for manual acceptance or rejection of such payment"

Still, the problem remains and it looks like the frenchies won't get the donations... :(

Sorry about that - foreign currency donations (anything except US Dollars) need to be manually converted at whatever the current exchange rate is, so yeah, I need to pay more attention to this.

Hi. This is the current plunger handling showing 3 input devices: keyboard, GamePad and analogic plunger...
Sorry for the captured quality...

Do not pay attention to the plunger's color: it is for debug purpose and will be removed for the release.
Tell me guys if you would be interessed by a plunger/nudge device... still working on it but I should be able to sell some units around 75$ I think... not sure yet.

Awesome. Thank you very much!
