Stupid question from me: have you checked the whole XML file for Hyperpin (FP and VP) to make sure there are no symbol characters in either of them? If the table runs fine in VP but Hyperpin crashes, that's where I'd start to look. (Symbol characters like !@#$%^&* for example)

Yes I checked that and the table loads fine through Hyperpin and the table is working but the second I put in credits and as soon as I hit start I hear the engine starting for a second and then boots me back into Hyperpin. I don't suppose you have a backup copy of your 1.0.0 table you could send me? Thanks.

Mike

Stranger still is that the 1.0.0 would crash - with and without running it from Hyperpin...

Thanks Todd, it is something to do with 1.0.1 because I just extracted and renamed the table according to my HP XML file and 1.0.0 works fine when I launch the table through Hyperpin. I know it isn't a problem in my HP XML file cause the table loads and come up but when I start the game is when it crashes out. Weird, any other ideas and anyone else having this problem as well? The file size between the two versions is quite significant, 17.5 for 1.0.1 and 14.5 for 1.0.0. Was that much changed or updated?

Mike

Well it is an anomaly. The wire ramps going into the hideout were moved as was the kicker locations etc to stop the game from locking up when a ball was entering/exiting the left hideout. For everyone else so far, 1.0.1 has worked perfectly. I have no idea why it would crash for you alone. Sorry.

Thanks for your help anyways, I will check and see because it is weird how 1.0.1 will work fine directly from VP but not HP. I know if it was an XML issue the table wouldn't even load up let alone let me insert credits and hit start. I'll mess around with it a bit more but at least I know I wasn't crazy thinking I had it working before and now not.

This table was playing fine for me a couple weeks ago and now none of the playfield lights are working, except for the traffic light above the ramp. Anyone ?

I tried pumping in a few more quarters, than I realized I unchecked HD render box recently. Now the lights are all on, except mine apparently. As always, thanks for all the BRILLIANT suggestions everyone!

I'm not sure why you have to turn HD render off then... very strange. I wouldn't dictate what you should do to your system, but the general consensus around here is to use driver version 182.50 for VP tables if you happen to be using a different driver at the moment.

Best Regards,
Todd.

I don't have to turn it off. It was my own stupid fault. I was messing around with some of the settings trying to get a clearer picture when I got my new monitor. I have the HD render on now and all is well. I'm still new to this and trying to learn as I go. Lots of trial and error. Thanks

Sorry.

Fine Todd, screw your crappy table... I ended up helping myself this weekend smile.gif
