Sound really good! smile.gif

Is there also going to be the option to move the Backglass all together to a 2nd screen and so have a permanent Backglass including
the 'mad-spider' available at all times?

Thanks for considering! wink.gif

Cheers,
FD.

I can't say that is a priority and I don't know if it will work. What I can say is that I have made a full screen backglass in which the spider and the lights all work fine in standard VP, with the idea of someone being able to move it to a second monitor. If that someone else can figure out how to they are welcome to do so smile.gif they managed it with the Spiderman DMD, I reckon they will be able to do the same with this.

hi guys

here is another sneak peek, this time on video! smile.gif sorry, no sound or DMD on the screen, I found it slowed the recorder down. Mainly you can see it is pretty much complete, and also how we have done the spider on a full screen - you bring up the full screen yourself using the 'up' key, it seems to work well. If you don't want to use it you still have the spider in the corner. This way you get the best of both worlds. Once it is released I'm sure someone will figure out a way of getting it onto a second monitor if they want to, it's a very detailed image in the real thing.

That video looks amazing! Is the key to make the backglass appear a toggle or do you have to hold it down while you wait to press the flipper key?

Just now the key to toggle the backdrop on/off is the up cursor, as defined in the vpmkeys.vbs. Whenever you want to see the backdrop you press the key and as soon as you release it it disappears. I made the small spider using the graphics from highrise in case you want to use just the small version on the right of the screen. But the bigger screen view maybe makes it easier to hit the desired award.

Yes, I'm making a FS version, using the 4:3 with some small changes. I don't use to make FS versions since my tables are very easy to rotate and you don't need to be an expert to rotate them, since in most tables you only need to change the backdrop values in the editor. But this table is different, so it needs some changes to make it look good. FS versions should be build very differently than 4:3 versions, but I'll just rotate the table and make some adjustments. Here it is a picture of the last wip (never seen before smile.gif ). I still need to change a few things, like the beast or the pile of skulls. The coffin doesn't look good but I don't feel to make a new coffin and change the way it works, since I don't use the FS version. But it doesn't look so bad. When released it will be up to te people who use the FS versions to adapt it to their system, being uvp or 16:9. I think it is a mess to have all these different FS systems. The FS version will include all the pictures and reels, but they won't be activated. The lines in the script will be commented, since each system will need its own changes.

once it is released, I'm someone will find a way to get the spider and backglass onto a second screen, it's just not something JP or I can do as we don't have the set up. But since it was possible to put the Spiderman DMD on another screen, I guess it can be done, and both JP and I will be happy to provide any images or information to help with that. The spider is something I'm very proud of - it's the most detailed animation I've ever seen in VP, we had to use six overlapping reels clamped together to make it work, basically inventing a new display algorithm haha.

Very cool guys. I love how Spiderman turned out, and I am looking forward to playing this one FS with the nice animated spider on the backglass. smile.gif
