@brer frog : It just doesn't make any sense that you say that the flippers used to work and now doesn't. I don't have access to the script right now. But, it sounds like it uses 'useSolenoids=2' to get fast flipper response. If that is in your table and the flippers don't work. Change that line to useSolenoids=1. If they now work. Then your VPM needs a update to be able to run with them with the original value of 2.

Part 1-
I'm running VP 10.5 & VPinMAME 3.1 and so far this has worked with other tables that use 'useSolenoids=2'.

This script does use 'useSolenoids=2' and flippers do work with ROM "rctycn". I do the F11 and Left Flipper test and typically get 0.4 ms which should means Fast Flips is working.

I change the script to 'useSolenoids=1' and flippers then work with ROM "rct701".

Part 2 -
Did some more experimenting & here’s what I found.

If I keep the script with 'useSolenoids=2', change the ROM to rct701, and do not close the table & save changes, the flippers work. I know I probably should have closed/saved the first time I made the ROM change, but frequently the script can be changed & left open & whatever changes are made will be effective. Plus when re-starting the table the DMD displayed “USA CPU 701” so I thought everything was OK. However closing/saving the changes made the flippers stop working.

That being said, if Fast Flips works with ROM rctycn, any idea why not with rct701?

Thank you for this report. There are a new core.vbs in the new 10.6 and that changes some of the code that has to do with Fast Flips. You tell me that you are using 10.5, the still official version, and I think that maybe JP and others are on 10.6 beta. I'm just guessing now. You can download 10.6 beta and just replace core.vbs in the scripts folder to see what happens if you don't want to go the 10.6 yet.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

JP mentions "The table can be played with VPX 10.5, although I used 10.6 beta to build it.". And it does work with the original ROM.

I usually wait for the official version, but will try the new core.vbs as you suggested.

Thanks.

I use it with 10.5 final with SAMbuild 3.1 - no problems here (only I had to save it once in 10.5 to get rid of the pop up dialogue).

I replaced the core.vbs file with the version from VP 10.6 beta and both ROMs now work.

However I don't notice any difference in the sound volume. I have it at maximum with each ROM and the music volume is a little on the low side but OK.

Played this one a bunch tonight. It’s one of your best looking builds to date, JP. Looks fantastic as a “night” table.

there's a new DOF config with more light action to the undercab complex. Thanks Arngrim for approving :)

For the problem, that the ball behind the upper right drop down target isn't registered to trigger sw38, to dropdown the target and release the ball...

I played around with it today and what I found, that works is:

- change shape to TriggerStar

- starradius: 25

- position x: 865.7654, y: 467.5194

Surely not the final best working solution (it sometimes needs a nudge to be registered), but maybe something to start with...

So, funny find on the background music for this one.  I was using the .dll for 3.1 and because of Tom and Jerry made the final move to 3.2.  Background music is oddly non-existent on both the 7.01 rom and the rctycn.  They both were fine on 3.1.  Any suggestions?

Edit: In the 4 seconds I was back at troubleshooting...grabbed the 6.0Rom and she worked fine.  Realized to delete the nvram.  All good now.  Haven't had to do that in quite some time!

What does the Snack Bar Skill adjustment in the Service Menu do? I'm assuming that it builds a food stand alongside the score when the Skill Shot is made, but I'm not sure about that.

Just in time for Halloween, here it is the new version with the Arcade Physics 3.0.

And what has to do this table with Halloween? Well, during the October month, something strange happens in the Rollercoaster park, you'll see. Just don't be too scared :)

In this table I have used my ramps, yes VPX plastics ramps, and not the primitive plastics ramps. If you prefer the  primitive then you may use the older table :)

I seem to get errors on these updated tables.
"could not create sound buffer for load"
Googled it to no avail.

Odd.

Very strange, I have tested the tables with VPX 10.6 and 10.7 beta. All the sounds are in wav format. I think that only happened to me when I tried to play on a computer without a sound card, or the driver was not installed. You may get that error if you load a mp3 or ogg on 10.7 and try to play it in an older VPX.

Does other tables work?

What version VPX are you running?

The error means that VPX is unable to play back the audio format of one or more files in the table.
And the table will actually still run if you keep hitting OK till it finishes loading sounds, but it wont play the sounds in question.

But that does not look like it should be an issue in this table, he just has standard WAV format that should run in VPX 10.6.1 with 0 issues
he is not using any 8 channel OGG or AC3 files or anything like that.
