The Rome backglass is done, tested and uploaded!

The associated FX3 file is attached here and will be included in the next DOFLinx package

I've just submitted the MX effects in the DOF config tool so they too will be available very shortly.

I will be starting those two today.  I've also got to get ready for the inevitable new EXE that will come along with them.  Before all of that I've got to rearrange my games room so that I can plug my cabinet back in and get it running ..... so much to do, so little time!

So - I have all the B2S's available set up - and they all show in FX3, but most are not animating. Example: Iron Man works just fine, but any others with an illuminated jpg are not. Any ideas why this might be happening? Is there a path setting somewhere I'm missing? Thanks in advance

I'm also noticing in the B2S files .. seems there is a local path in there. Example: FileName=".\Projects\WMSGetaway\My Resources\Getaway - High Speed 2(Williams1992).png"

The path you are likely seeing via the B2S editor.  It will be the local path the original image was loaded from, not relevant to a running B2S backglass.

If you are not getting any animation, grab all of your details and a full description of the issue, you setup, and what you've done, then start a support thread for it.

Is there a way to run standard .jpg backglasses on FX3 together with B2S backglasses? For example, run jpg backglasses for yesterday's release of MB and CFTBL until the active BG's are done? All my other tables are running the active B2S BG's. Not a big deal, just thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Not via DOFLinx.  When Steam change FX3.EXE all links are lost so its not possible to determine which game is selected and hence show any relevant backglass.

Just put the .jpgs in your fx3 games list folder and it will load them. You have to tell your front end not to hide the backglass also.

EDIT: thats front END.

Is there an update for doflinx I need before adding the new b2s backglasses? None of my active backglasses are working, and nudge doesnt work on any table either now. Thanks for all your hard work on this!

EDIT: just saw the main release thread, sorry! Going to update now!

EDIT 2: working beautifully now! Thanks!

if you are still looking for a Han Solo Images

Attached File  STARWARS_Han_Solo.png   1.44MB   3 downloads

ALT version

Attached File  STARWARS_Han_Solo2.png   1.07MB   3 downloads

Out of Curiosity but where do we get the Triggers

Just in case we want to make our own dB2s files

I read trough  the DOFLinx Guide.PDF guide and it has an example for a Tablename.FX2   file

this file has B2s  data calls.

I don't see the same data calls on Tablename.FX3   files

I updated most of the current dB2s files with my own images

I'm just re arranging the lights.

Attached File  Capture.PNG   991.14KB   2 downloads

edit

Never mind I figured it out.   Its pre defined Groups of animations  you simply add the light/snippet to the group and turn it on and off

But their are  4 dB2s files that use Snippet animations.  I need to delete those snippets and replace them

with lights.  and I don't know how to map them to the proper ID.

I like to use this image for    Space Bear2   as I think the current dB2s   is not accurate to the table.

Great to see you working on some backglasses.  I'm a hack at creating them, and as I've always said, I've created a set that can be used, I'll happily move to better images, animation and in general backglasses.

I like the first Han Solo image, I can see how I can illuminate that.  I'm happy to build a B2S with it, or if you want to have a go from scratch, feel free to.  All I need is list of animation names that I can add to the FX3 file and a pre-release of the B2S to test it all out..  About 10 -15 animations is ideal.  Make sure all of the animation names ARE IN CAPITALS, it does make a difference.  If you don't want to build it, equally good, just let me know, and ideally PM me the image as a zip.  This one would complete the set, then we can look at making them better.

I like the Space Bear 2 image as well.  In the FX3 file there are still 2 triggers with no animation on the backglass, so you added two more animation names it would be OK.

Happy to help where ever I can if you want to keep working on these.

Sorry, I should have said, the light names are irrelevant, its the animation name that is called from DOFLinx and setup in the FX3 file.  In some cases I have attached flippers to specific lights, but that is done via the ID number.

Are the .FX2 table files available anywhere? I assume they were included with older Doflinx versions however the oldest that can be downloaded here is 6.40.

I can't create images for crap,  the only thing i did is clone the Zen images

I made a template

https://vpinball.com...ilder-template/

find a HQ wallpaper  --> drop it in my template -->  You have your own image

I updated 72 files so far with my own images ; I still need to do the rest

and test them as I did not know their where FX2 and FX3 versions.

I don't know what I downloaded

here are my versions of the Snippet based dB2s files  with generic lights

Guardians of the Galaxy

SpaceBear1

SpaceBear2

The Walking Dead.

https://www.dropbox....Wh5TLt4Ema?dl=0

the 1080  Han Solo image file is also in the Dropbox link

as posted above;   if we are late to the party

where can we get the FX2 files for version 7.0A

SouthPark1.FX2

SouthPark2.FX2

PlantsVSZombies.FX2

SplosionMan.FX2

I can launch all the FX3 dB2s files from the test window

But get a "Missing File"  or Missing dB2s  error  with FX2  dB2s files.

I placed my FX2  dB2s files in

C:\DirectOutput\FX2_B2S

if I place FX2 dB2s files in my FX3 folder

C:\DirectOutput\FX3_B2S

I get a missing   Tablename.FX2    and   default.FX2    errors.

my NO toys Desktop PC for testing purposes only  DOFLinx.INI

Some FX2 files (just sent) in PATH_FX2=C:\DirectOutput\FX2\ should solve the problem for you.
