Did you check this

exceute the following procedure for all dll and exe files of the DirectOutput installtion:

  • Right click the DLL file and select Properties in the context menu.
  • Select the General tab in the properties window.
  • If you find the text _"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" or somthing similar on this tab, click the Unblock button. This should fix the issue.

If the text about the file coming from another computer does not exist, everthing should be fine.

Is it possible I need to run these in "compatibility mode"?

The config tester doesn't seem to do anything for me, partly why I feel like I must be missing something yet

Even after running the config editor I still doen' have an .ini files

Yes I think you might have the ini file in your config folder but you don't have file extension showing

Yours is set up different than mine so that may be the reason why it's not working...if you go to the first post, at the bottom of that post - it tells you how to set up the ports

Yes. The config folder is where I have them
I’m thinking it may be time to reinstall everything

Any idea why I would have just 1 blue led?

Is This is the way you have it hooked up?

+5V power to the (red) and GND to (white)

Only the CAT6 orange is hooked up to the green wire

The CAT6 white & orange wire is hooked to the ground

The light strip should be marked with arrows to show the signal flow direction

Yes. That is the way I have it hooked up
Does it matter that I am using CAT5? I’m guessing not because it functions fine running “strandtest”
