Hi,

I was feeling good about my cab, got things cleaned up and with FP, VP9 VP9Physmod, and VPX working I thought I would try FX2 so I bought a pack from steam and got it all setup and working, well almost I am still fighting the plunger, but I have the cabinet mode working with the backglass and DMD in the correct spots, and the games playing well but when I tried to get the FX2 games to launch from PinballX I realized that I must have missed something in setting up FX2 in PinballX.

I get a "table not found" error when I try to launch from the PBX manager.

I don't know where the path to tables are set so I am lost at the moment.

Its not a game name problem I checked the names in the XML with the names in Steam, none of my FX2 tables can be found.

I followed the guide with the exception of leaving the "Wait for:" blank it cannot be made blank in this version.

I checked the working path and it does point to Steam, as does the executable. I have read all the forum bits I could find on the topic and that compelled me to download and install NukeLauncher but low & Behold the install gives me an error with a long list of tables it could not find.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate some wise counsel.

Thanks

Ken

Ken, sounds like good progress with a bit of finesse required.

Easiest option might be for you to post an image of your PinballX - Pinball FX2 setup screen, that way we can see all of the paths, parameters, etc.

HI DDH69,

Thanks for your encouraging words. here is a screengrab of the settings in PinballX setup. I did change the wait time from 20 to 15 as in Outhere's pic.
From GameManager If I look at Game and hit Select  I get a blank Select File pop up with no games at all...

Hi Outhere,

As always it is good to see you, your pics inspired me to set up another group using Other.  Below is a pic of that set up.
From GameManager  If I look at Game and hit Select  I get a  Select File pop with all the FX2 games that I have listed...
When I try to launch a game, I still get the "no game found" errror but it launches Steam...
So I looked at the game names again but they look good to me so I am still perplexed.
I have attached a screengrab of both the PinballX XML and the Steam Name.

I forgot when you set it up in other systems you also going to need to make a database in pinballx, You should just be able to copy the pinball FX2 floder and renamed it steamfx2 and the XML file.

When testing make sure you only have one of these systems turned on at a time either the pinball FX2 or the steamFX2

Outhere

Thanks for hanging with me through this, I have the database named SteamFX2 in pinballx database file  and inside of that I have the SteamFX2 XML that I coped from the FX2 folder and renamed, I can see the games in manager but when I launch I get "no game found" error and then Steam fires up.  Any Ideas why it can't find the games?

I did turn off the FX2 from Setting so only SteamFX2 is running

It would appear that the FX2 games do not start from the game manager you need to start pinballX and pick them from the wheel

Good to here you are up running

 It's noon somewhere

On your first post above I didn't catch where you said you were trying to load it from the manager right away but I wish I would have it would have saved time

No worries, sometimes I can get stuck in the micro view and miss the macro, its really great to have friends here at the forum. I do love this hobby and wish I could have everyone over for a barbeque...

Thanks again.

Ken

I seem to be having some trouble with FX2 still running the autoclicks; I've got version 2.37 of PinballX setup. Certain tables, such as Darth Vader, will still launch and do the autoclicks; preventing me from assembling Vader or choosing which Avenger to use in Avengers. I've had the waitfor command set to -1; doesn't help. I've tried upping the wait time; at this point I'm ready to attempt to turn off attract mode and then see if I can't get the game to work that way.

Any ideas on what to do to help?
