I'll see if I can reproduce those errors.

I have updated the table to 1.31. I have removed the vpm.SolGameOn to fix that problem with the bumpers and slings not working. I also have fixed a ball stuck when shootiing a slow ball from the shooter lane.

I have also updated all my other VP9 tables with some changes in the graphics, nudge, fadings lights and some settings.

JP

Thanks JP for Fixing ToM and I'm Looking forward to playing your updated tables. Once Again much appreciated, nice work. otvclap.gif

Thank you for the recent updates biggrin.gif

But I still have an issue with the table, if I let the XY rotation stay at 360 in the backdrop options, I get the "unable to create offscreen surface". But when I set the XY rotation to 0 it plays fine with HW rendering on ohmy.gif

And I just noticed this:

I haven't played this pinball IRL since it was in the arcades, but I'm not sure if the flippers is supposed to be active when one get the "digital flipper" minigame in the DMD. Can anyone find some info on that?

The white color is because VP9 have the habit to change the transparency color. Find the image called "black" and change the transparency to any other color, like green.

Yes, by setting the rotation to 0 it will render with HR, but it will also render useless the x and y scale. So better try to move the table up a little by changing the Y Offset to -24 or -32 and lets see if it works.

Thank you for the fast reply JP smile.gif

I tried to change the transparency color, but those two white things won't go away for me, but it's not an big issue for me wink.gif
In 1600x1200 I get the same error, but in 1280x1024 everything works fine. The highest resolution I can use on TOM is 1600x900 w/HW acc on + XY rotation @360 + Y offset @-18.
So, if I want to play in 1600x1200 resolution I must set XY rotation to 0.
I tried to change the Y offset to -18, -24 and -32, but I get the same error, trying to play in 1600x1200.

I'm out of ideas tongue.gif But don't worry about it JP, since it's "only" me that has problems.

I hope I make sense as my English ain't that good tongue.gif

Unfortunately it's not only you TuNk77, but me as well. No matter what I try (XY rotation = 0, lower resolution, change Y offset, ect.) nothing seems to work except diabling HW acceleration, but as I stated before I was able to play ALL VP9 tabes with HW acceleration enabled including TOM 1.0. My problems began as soon as tried to load TOM 1.1. MIKE

***EDIT 1***

Okay, I may be getting a little closer to finding out why I get the "cannot create offscreen object" error. By executing the table directly from the table file I now get this error : Object doesn't support this property or method: 'Table1.MaxBallSpeed'

Any ideas? MIKE

***EDIT 2 ***

Here are the tables (JP VP9) that do load with HW acceleration enabled and the ones that don't.

Work with HW acceleration enabled : TFTC 1.1, MM 1.1, AFM 1.1

Do not work with HW acceleration enabled : TOTAN 1.1, TAXI 1.1, KISS 1.11, LOTR 1.1, TOM 1.31

'Table1.MaxBallSpeed' is new to VP9. You get this error if you run any of my VP9 tables under VP8.

Why some tables work with Hardware rendering and why others don't work is a good question. I should say it is because of the amount of memory they use, but all the tables are very similar in the amount of graphics. Only TOM has a few extra bitmaps for the fading flashers, but that should not be a problem.

Nevermind about the 'Object doesn't support this property or method: 'Table1.MaxBallSpeed' as VP was trying to play the tables using VP8 just as you stated JP. I guess I'm just going to have to live with some of the VP9 tables giving me the 'cannot create offscreen surface' error. Thanks to everyone for trying to help. MIKE

This happens on real tables too...does the ball go there all the time?

Only table we always seem to miss out on is Champion Pub .. ? wink.gif

This is kinda odd, I ran TOM v1.31 on my mothers computer and it worked as it should, did not need to modify anything. GPU Nvidia GeForce 7600GS w/256 RAM, 3 GB system RAM and 3 GHz Pentium 4 CPU.

My computer is: GPU Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 320 MB RAM, 4 GB system RAM, dualcore CPU 2,4 GHz.

And another vote for Champion Pub...

Hi
anybody knows why none of the lights are working on TOM 1.31 on the versions before it was fine. none of the lights illusion etc light up????

Thanks
Pepperpot

When you start up the table all the lights flash, if u hit the trunk the yellow lights light up, but not anymore, or the shots u should be doing light up but not anymore....

I love this table, great fun and memories

any ideas

cheers
