Can I ask a couple questions about this process?

When I go to import the obj file in via the Import Mesh it asks 2 questions..

what do they mean and what should I respond with?

"Do you want to mirror the object?"

"Do you want to convert the texture coordinates?"

Also the sizing .. can I resize the object at all prior to bringing into VP

Right now I am left to making the x/y/z size 2 or 3 from the default 100. Just wondered if I could scale it back in one of the other tools as noted in the first post (fp/fp-m/biturn)

Oh and one more thing .. some objects just come in as white models(?) .. how do you color them? They didnt have a texture to export.

Thanks.

Q: "Do you want to mirror the object?"

A: Yes                               (don't worry why just do it :P )

Q: Do you want to convert the texture coordinates?

A: Yes  - this likely means you didn't have UV coordinates applied before exporting or something like that, no big deal.

Q: Also the sizing .. can I resize the object at all prior to bringing into VP?

A: Yes but you have to do it in some sort of 3D software, just scale the mesh down as desired and re-export......blender,3dsmax,milkscape etc will work.

Q: White models - missing texture

A: You'll need to apply a texture map - how the map is applied is determined by the UV coordinates set up in 3D software.

I have a 3D reference/guide in my signature as well.
