edit: I've removed the offending #7, although I don't agree with the reaction, it could have been worded better, sorry about that. Is there anything else that is offending Brian or is the rest ok? I agree with the #7 being poor in the context of others reading it in the future. I can't stress enough the last paragraph in that post though which I thought laid out my point. As I said, it was obviously worded poorly, sorry about that

Now that this "legality" stuff is all settled, may I have a bag of freshly popped pop-corn with hot melted butter? Please?

Play Pinball? I can't legally check the box in any of the tables, so I just look at the loadscreens and eat popcorn. shutup1.gif

Lest we forget when I was called out by name to Gary Stern in the January 2011 issue (# 268) of GamePro Magazine about what we do here, and he replied, "It's a good educational tool for learning the game, and I'm all for it. I'm for anything that stimulates interest, but it's not real pinball. It's something different."

Of course, what we really need is someone who's joined our forum just over a week ago to question our ethics, so we can rehash this topic again and again. It reminds me, at least, of all the great conversations I've had with our beloved hobby's industry figures and how they all said they love what we do.

So ... thanks!

Forgot about that article, have to re-read.. Its a good thing we have going here. I love going to shows and playing much better than the average bear due to 'knowing' the game thanks to VP. I can say that VP is the reason for me getting into pinball and attending shows as well as spending money at parts stores keeping my machines nice. The more pinball is out in the "open" the better.

@Loafer: Thatīs the point, was nice read yor comment

@Destruk: A lot of informations, i want to make clear i do not say you are criminals hiding in obscurity, your work itīs technically illegal, and criminal. law states, not me. I also understood that the pinball scene is very unique and clearly different from videogames scene for reasons you all know, and pinball companies treats you in a different way, this community survives on the net with money subscribing, and that alone says a lot.

Rick?Planet pinball? can you be more clear?

@Noah: That Stern Comment was awesome,
