Thx for sharing guys ,but your new setting with my screen 40" and resolution of 1920x1080 are false.

What is your resolution and screen ?

All of these were done when I was running Windows 7, I've just switched to XP and have been getting some graphic distortions also.
if you reduce the x and y scales by about 10% it fixes many of the distortions, but this may not be ideal depending on your preferences.

and that is the list of settings we change ...... noobness gone.




I finally got a decent new monitor @ 1920 x 1080 ........ so now that I can see flippers again, I can finally do conversions here on the desktop and then fine tune them on the cab ...... Hrs of hunched over the cab, I dont think so.

Are those values still valid? There are several new versions of some tables so I think the authors certainly included the layback settings already!?

Not every table is released as 'layback', so for some tables the list is still valid..

I have been trying to work on some layback settings. I can't say I really know what I'm doing.   Just playing around and trying to figure it out. I have been messing around with Xenon and Getaway. Here are my settings. Has anybody else adjusted the layback settings for these tables? It would be really cool to update the list in this thread.

for xenon you have to move the tube pipe a bit after setting layback, and lights around it also

No, all tables are probably not updated, Feel free to use this list and decide if you like the settings or not.  

 

There is no such thing as correct layback.  It's a matter of preference thing, but these are probably a good starting point... if you can figure out what version of the table it was tested on

this statement +10,000.  It is so much a matter of preference, and how you have your system setup.  I am running my cab with the playfield in portrait mode.  so much easier to work on not standing at the side of the table.  I also got a bunch of tables from my son-in-law who is also setup that way, but find I am tweaking his settings even though I liked them on his full size widebody cab, they don't look quite right on my mini-cab just due to the size (generally less inclination and layback I think looks better on my cab vs his).
