Yeah I found the problem. Animation can rotate in the script but the direction rotation on the option stays. Does this on the Visual Pinball X 6.1. Gate issues as you said.

Rotation on the LeftGate option set to -38

On the script it set to LeftGate.Rotation = 142

Doesn't change it. Just the animation is change.

No telling how long it been this way.

I will keep the gate open and close script thanks.

i'll have to find the example i was looking at,see exactly  what the script was, maybe it was a vp9 table, but i thought sure it was vpx
In the mean time, you could use 2 gates, one facing each way, and toggle the control gate's collision on and off maybe
and set that gate as non visible, course that is not much different than a dropwall i guess.

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

I noticed that the two-way gates register two Hits, when he is hit by the ball,
if you could have an option that when hit, it register a single hit.

This is not necessary, with the reading of the current angle of the spinner you can control the shot registration.

The video resolution settings change by itself when it is changed a second time, usually it moves to the resolution before the native one of the screen.

Another crash while using the script editor, I simply cut & paste some text, and VPX crashed. Just in case you may find what causes that.

@JP: I can't reproduce the crash. What do you do to force the crash? Copy'n paste something in the editor? Is there something special when you copy stuff? I mean a specific collection of functions or variables or some hit/trigger functions?

The crash dump points to something in the code editor but I don't see the problem there.

@JP did you copy from something outside VPX and paste into VPX?

Just wondering is something non visible is copied that the editor can not handle, but is not stripping out.

I just copied the new subs from a text file (like the ball rolling routine, which includes now a ball speed control, or the collection hit sound sub). It doesn't happen all the time, if not I had provided a test table. I just thought you maybe could see where the error was, that's all. It hasn't crashed since the last time, but I have updated Windows 10 with the November patches, so maybe something in the ntdll.dll or user32.dll got changed. You never know with these windows updates :)

I must say that this 10.7 while editing is much more stable than 10.6.  With this latest 10.7 I can load several tables without wondering if it's going to crash, as 10.6 did. I do not have a "library" of objects or a template table, I simply copy/paste from older tables :)

Here it is a funny crash :) It happened after I renamed a few rubbers, and I managed to use the same name on two of them, I deleted them both, pasted them again, checked that the names were right, and I run the table. The editor froze a little, and it crashed.

What it was funny is that only vpinball.exe was mentioned in the crash report :)

Anyway, still there is the bug where you can rename two objects with the same name :)

JP

Was this the crash that is preceded by a strange dialog box
which at the moment the wording of the message fails me, but referred to nothing within the table script it self.

And yea, it will let you name a whole lot of objects the same name
especially 10 ball shadows all named ballshadow0, which i do not admit to doing

Also renaming a layer, and then hitting the ENTER key (kind of a habit)
can result in the layers panel going byebye, or timetimes taking out vpx entirely
but usually just going byebye

I didn't get any windows prior the error, just the normal "Rendering table..:", then the window got the typical Windows "Not responding" and the crash. I have tried to reproduce it, renaming two rubbers with the same name, cut, paste, rename again, run, just like I did before, but it has worked all the time. Those errors that cannot be reproduce must be the most difficult to find.

I think fuzzel is aware of the layer problems. I think if you load two tables, do something with the layers, and then all the layers disappear. You can save the table, load it again and the layers are there, so it is not a dangerous bug :)

I will have to try and get a screen shot of the dialog on the weird error

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

@fuzzel/toxie:

Is it possible to add elasticity falloff to the walls? the same as in the rubbers and primitives?
