If you saved as %tablename.hi% this works in game selection screen. If it helps.

Your default key is ESC to exit, this conflicts with VP escaping. Standard issue. Change exitkey to another key doesnt give errors and allows score to be posted correctly, at least for me anyway.

Who knows maybe that is the issue .....

someone willing to give it a try not using the Esc button in their configuration but another key?

When it brings up the high score with submit yes and no. You have to use the select left & right until you see the yes and no being selected. Then select yes. After this the score submission should work.

I remapped the exit to use the tilde "`" key.  This did get rid of the windows "program didn't close...." dialog.  But my score still didn't post....

Try using 9.14 for Taxi?

Using 9.14 for pretty much all seems to have a better compatibility for us. Find user georgepony on  www.pinemhi.com/hiscores.php .

I will double check, but I had only played 7 of the new tables and all had the correct date and hiscore info.

I replayed Creature and AFM and it has changed the date in the hi file.

Only 2 of the 7 registered to the site. I have since got creature to register.

Ok I checked the hi file and AFM has even updated re elections to #15 and all are correct.

Yeah the Kiddie challenge I submitted 39B on AFM to test and it didnt come thru.

Had the same prob with the kiddie challenge ...... Dont want to risk the 100% average on the regular one til the problems are ironed out.

With testing the new version and tables, all scores went into high scores but only 2 went to the site.

Hope we can pinpoint it .

But were the hiscores that were saved in the hiscores directory the correct ones?

So if you looked inside did you see the score from the right game or were it scores from another game...you didn't really tell in your post

For instance Attack From Mars.hi contains the hiscores from Cue Ball Wizard or something.

The kiddie challenge error that you had was from a different kind, the score simply didn't come through , right?

Correct me if I'm wrong...

With horseyhorsey it did but he didn't level up

My theory as to the why has been busted....thanks dedrok_v and shredhed for the info.
So no need anymore for reporting what is in the .hi files

Shredhed:  I just got done playing a few games of MM FS. AS A REFERENCE:  I dont use Hyperpin, or a Cabinet frontend other than PINemHI.  I have a rotated 47" Monitor with a Xarcade Tankstick that emulates a keyboard and a mouse without unplugging my regular keyboard and mouse.  I just Posted  a high score today on MM FS.  I still have to lauch within Pinemhi Folder on the Green H icon.  It  will not accept a shortcut cause my desktop is now part of windows on a different Hard drive.  But all works well on my secondary drive which has PINemHI, Visual Pinball, Vpinmame.   I had to raise my resolution to 1920 x 1080 for the table logos to display properly on the blue screen.   I have to monkey with each table depending on whether it lags on my system with the HR and 16bit vs 32bit resolution.   Double check to make sure you have the latest download 2.1.1 as it fixed alot of the problems I had, and all in the same directory.

Sometimes I get playfield objects white, green or yellowed out in 32bits other times with HR its laggy and unplayable. once it works I then shut down VP and start Pinemhi and go to that table.  I did Have to remap the ESC key which conflicted with the button I use on the tankstick.  After a good score immediately hit ESC/or whatever button you use from Pinemhi and you should see the white board with DNA Disturber Hypodermic needles and the Save the score option YEs or NO.....The default is yes, so hitting enter again, (same button as starting a game from the blue table logo screen) should post your score,.....The BLUE start screen with table LOGO should have a sentence saying 1) Pinemhi Leaderboard HS post or 2)5min, or 3) neither option.  Those options are controlled by "m" key..  It has to be on the post option (1) when you enter a game. Again after you leave the game to post your score, the default is left and right shift for yes or no if you want to save the High Score then enter.   Reread the Leaderboard ini file for options within  the game as far as lookin up high scores and posting.  checking your name and code, and also making sure your games within vpinmame/ tables folder are typed exactly as listed within PinemHi leaderboard games/xlm file.  I had some issues with the way I relabeled games like Shadow, instead of The Shadow.

Hope this helps.

And the person, I forget who, Who gets the error screen  window and loses the desktop, That happens when I use a shortcut for PINemHI FS leaderboard outside the folder.   But I am not a cabinet build guy so I have to switch from my desktop 19 to tv monitor within windows anyways, so I just use windows explorer to open the folder.

Good Luck.

Hey thanks for the info. Unfortuantely I already had tried most of the ideas you suggested.  I've been running the tables thru pinemhi only, no other frontends are used.  It seems some tables(TotAN, WW) post scores, while others like MM dont, for me anyway.  Out of curiosity what version of vpinmame are you using ?

Thanks again....

The normal version seems to work well for most of the tables. Maybe Sorcerer has not the right rom (same issue as CV), I got no game played the two times I tried.

Shredhed:  I am using the VPinball9.14 for FSPINemHI.  I tried the Vpinball rev 428 on one table, without PINemHI.  It may actually have been MM. or AFM.  Somewhere in one of the threads, when I couldnt get the table to loadup,  it was suggested to start it with that version.  However I actually  never changed it in leaderboard ini cfg.  file, so they all must have started with Vpinball9.14.  Like I posted earlier,  I have to mess with Hardware Rendering...ON or OFF and the 16bit/32bit options within Video Preferences of Vpinball9.14.  I should note that I have only posted scores on about 8 tables, but all have worked.  The only times I thought they hadn't posted, is when the DNA Disturber updated the table list through his games.xml file and I was still using PINemHI2.1 instead of PINemHI 2.1.1 version and those table HIGH SCORES got listed in the Retired Section, because my games list in PINemHI listed the old version instead of the new.  Your scores still post, say if you cant play the new version

DNA Disturber and CED: AFM_vp914_v2.4FS  is the latest AFM Full Screen version.  The flipper strengths are really WEAK.  You normally could hit light any of the three center table lights from either flipper with a standing shot, but now you can't.  I like the new version as the scores will be harder to acheive.   I have NEVER messed with the flipper settings on any version, cause in a competition we should all use the same ones, However if you guys think it is okay to change them, or have better settings for this competition, let me know.

DNA Disturber:   I have had issues with a square decorative decal with my ATI card on the BSD table.  I posted it under JPSalas

BSD table thread.  I had to make those Decals invisible in order to see the inlanes and area infront of the slings. Here is a picture of what the table looks like.  Is it okay to play BSD without those decorative pictures?

I changed the exe links in the ini file, making both VP9 link to the same 914 exe (I had nothing in the alt exe configuration).

It looks like it works better, scores were mostly submitted (all I launched except Taxi that gave me the "No game played").

I didn't try the 5 min mode yet

For AFM 2.4 & weak flippers : we shouldn't change anything, that's the way the author wanted the flippers to be, so we just have to deal with it.

Hi Android,

As for changing flipperstrength or other settings, xio already mentioned it.
We just use the tables as they are, this makes it tougher for everyone but equally difficult.
And otherwise everybody needs to tweak a game before you can play and where does the tweaking end.

If you think you have no gain whatsoever regarding BSD then i think it's not a problem.
The system is based on honesty and trust so it's your call...

With AFM 914, I had to delete the flipper logos and associated script to get it to stop stuttering. This cpu doesnt like the new primatives objects.

It's not a tweak , but is unplayable otherwise.

The flipper settings seem ok,

the shots seem alot different though and it has faster spin thru the lanes coming to the flippers which makes it harder again to hit shots constantly.

EDIT

I havnt tried the FS yet ... maybe it's different setting to desktop.

Taxi works with 9.14 on 5 minute mode. Did this the other day, it should work for standard.

Don't. That was the first time I reached this score (so it's pretty frustrating :) ). If you can reach 5B, you can also reach 9B, it just means you get the right extra balls when rats&bats bonus are high.
