Hello @DnaDisturber and all the Pinheads here

I would like to warn about 2 little things.

1- the current weekly Challenge on Batman doesn't accept scores upper than 99.999.990

2- on the leaderboard challenge, I have to destroy the ring. While the score is well uploaded on the PinemHi, it doesn't record the thing ... even I properly destroy the ring (twice a game, lol). I've tried several sessions on this. Could you fix ? I can't access to next level :)

A last thing, if you are adding some tables on the leaderboard, please tell me "Pinball Magic" is well in the wish-list, that's a so wonderfull an magnificient table :D

Thank you very much for this all

Hi TheYLF,

Batman does indeed appear to be not registering scores past 100M.
dacstyle also reported this to me
That one goes on my todo list

As for the lord of the rings...
I saw just one score from you near challenge time in the logs:

2022-11-23 17:45:04 YAN-YLF lotr The Lord of the Rings 12320977

No special score in it however

Did you  exit the game after your game was over (with getting the ring) ?
I think you did but there is another thing you have to consider....

the special scores (as getting the ring) aren't working like the hiscores (doens't mather how low it is, it can be registered)

If you already have set a score (as in writing your name on the tabll's hiscore list) then you have to get higher for it to register it in pinemhi
This is because those lower special scores aren't saved in the nvram just like normal scores

you already have a score of 00:59 achieved a little while ago....so if you still use the same nvram you have to achieve a time lower than that.

To make it easier you could rename the current nvram and start with a fresh one. that way it will register even if it is above 00:59
Once achieved you could then replace the newer nvram with the old renamed one so that you have all your highscores again

I also put that in the documentation of PINemHI In the PINemHi Leaderboard installation and config.txt

Special scores however can only be submitted if they are over the score of the hiscore table.
Special scores are for instance , 20 loops (back to the future) or 50 martians killed (attack from mars) and so on...
If you wanna go for SPECIAL SCORES the use of a new, clean nvram might be handy as you can get the scores more easy (especially helpful when trying to get a challenge)

at 2022-06-08 21:04:09 you achieved it in 01:10.16

at 2022-06-08 22:14:40 you achieved it in 00:59.94

the last score registered because it was lower (in time) than the one before

If you play now with the same nvram and you get for instance a 01:05:00 it wouldn't register
if you get 00:55:00 it will get registered

So this isn't a bug that needs to be fixed. It just works this way

Hope this explains it

:drinks:

Hello DnaDisturber

How does pinemhi behave if the maximum score is exceeded and the table resets the score to zero?

For example in Diner, after passing 99,999,990 the score restarts from zero.

Do we need to leave the table before that happens to prevent pinemhi from registering the low score?

Yes, that would be wise...otherwise you get the lower score

Is there any explanation on how the points are calculated? I cant find that information. I se I have 638 points, but I don’t know how I earned that ammount of points. Every time I play I get some points?

With every game :

Points given 1 through amount of number of players for that game based on highest score on that game

Say for instance you've got 16 players who at one point played Attack from Mars

Number one gets 16 points

Number 2 gets 15 points

Number 3 gets 14 points

..........

Last one gets 1 point

Do that for every game and you get the total score

If someone hasn't posted a score in a year (on any game) then that person is removed from the list
As soon as that person does submit a score on one game again , he's back in with all his scores on the other games as wellfrom the past.
This is to prevent that non-active players are on the list

Hope this makes sense

:drinks:

P.S. So if you want to make big points , look at the most populair games, play a good game and you can get quite some points but with so many players playimng it the chances for a top spot are really difficult to obtain

I noticed that Vpinmame 3.6 changed names  of the roms.

This causes that the matching of name doesn't give the nvram filename back, so Pinemhi cannot check the score for that table and not able to send score.

From page 1 I downloaded the latest version of Pinemhi and dumped all the rom names and nv ram files.
I matched this with all files in Vpinmame 3.6 and created a new list (see attached Pinemhi.txt).
I replaced the section "[romfind]" from Pinemhi.ini and past all from the attached text file (so leave all the other settings in Pinemhi.ini).

The entries below are in the original Pinemhi.ini, but I could not find then in the new Vpinmame 3.6, so be aware if you use a table with this rom and you use Vpinmame 3.6:

atarianb.nv	Atarians, The (working bootleg)
congo_11s10.nv	Congo (1.1, DCS-Sound 1.0)
cftbl_l5c.nv	Creature from the Black Lagoon (L-5C Competition MOD)
dm_h5c.nv	Demolition Man (H-5C Competition MOD)
missworld.nv	Miss World(7-digit Rev3 Free Play) (7-digit Rev3 Free Play)
nbaf_31a.nv	NBA Fastbreak (3.1, Sound S1.0)
nstrpffp	New Star's Phoenix (French Speech, Free Play)
nf_10.nv	No Fear: Dangerous Sports (1.0)
penthouse.nv	Penthouse - clone of hglbtrtb
blkou_hf.nv	Pumpkin Carving
ratfink.nv	RatFink Clone of Startreb(7-digit conversion) (7-digit conversion)
rs_lx2p3.nv	Red and Ted's Road Show (LX-2, Prototype Sound P-3)
sc_18n.nv	Safe Cracker (1.8 No Percentaging, Sound S1.0)
sc_18.nv	Safe Cracker (1.8, Sound S1.0)
sttng_ds.nv	Star Trek: The Next Generation (DX-7 SP1 LED Ghost Fix)
sttng_s7.nv	Star Trek: The Next Generation (LX-7 SP1)
tom_15c.nv	Theatre of Magic (1.5C Competition MOD)
st_game.nv	Unknown Game (Unknown)
st_game.nv.nv	Unknown Game (Unknown)
ww_p1.nv	White Water (P-8 Prototype, Sound P-1)
ww_p2.nv	White Water (P-9 Prototype, Sound P-1 LED Ghost Fix)

Thanks DNADisturber for PinemHI, and hope you don't mind I post this file (let me know if you don't like it, so I can remove the file)

Hi Mike,

Not a problem at all :)

The most namechanges happened at vpinmame 3.5 i think
I have a pinemhi.ini that has all the correct names for vpinmame 3.2 through 3.5

Only thing is i haven't released a new version and with that the new names in pinemhi.ini

The first 2 digits of the pinemhi version tell you what vpinmame version it's on..so still version 3.3

way too old haha.....

Mostly the names that are added are prototypes and older roms but if they are renaming the roms that are most being used that interferes with pinemhi extracting the scores :(
For instance attack from mars , they completely renamed them in 3.5

vpimame 3.6 is still in beta i believe but i can put the ones in from your list that aren't in the pinemhi.ini version 3.5 yet
That should give a new pinemhi.ini for users that works well with vpinmame v3.2 to v3.6

Thanks for the list Mike :drinks:

I didnt have much issues with 3.5, but noticed when I was playing Maverick for the 5 minute challange that it was changed. Did a check and found multiple changes.
Gladly after changing my local one, i got a score that was almost the same.
I thonk a list from 3.2 to 3.5(or 3.6 after releasing) would be nice as well.

I know you are pretty busy, but time to release the tables you added last year buddy :drinks:

And don't thank me, it was a quick one, you deserve all the credits!

New pinemhi.ini version (can be used up to vpinmame 3.6)

Rename your old pinemhi.ini

rename this new one to pinemhi.ini (it's now a txt file, ini is not allowed as a download)

and cut and paste your settings into the new one (basically all above [romfind]

:drinks:

Thanks Mike for the v3.6 entries (20+ added to the v3.5 list)

Hi, everyone.
Having a blast after spending half of March and April entirely to properly setup VP/PinballX/PBX Database/PINemHI and get all the tables/roms/media I wanted. But although the plugin works great for DMD based tables and some numerical/alplhanumerical ones, there's some other tables where the normal score doesn't get sent to the leaderboard.

Beforehand, I checked if PINemHI were being sucessfull in extracting the scores from those tables in the log, and it does extract, the rom names are detected correctly and also the roms for those tables are supported by PINemHI ( I generated an supported.txt within PowerShell and searched for all roms I'm used).

Here are the tables where the normal score doesn't get sent:

Banzai Run

Black Knight

Centaur

Fireball

Firepower

Funhouse

Gorgar

Paragon

Space Station

Space Shuttle

Swords of Fury

Xenon

On the leaderboard log, for these tables, I always get this when exiting them after playing a game:

detected exit from game with rom description :  [romname]
new [romname] score extracted
*** previous score is equal to new score ***
*** probably because there was no game played ***
*** it could also be that this rom is not supported (yet) ***
*** this score will not be submitted ***

Where "romname" is the table I've just played. Does anyone can say if those tables work differently than the others or if I have to do something else? Thanks in advance.

PS: I wanted to attach PINemHI log and PBX Statistics, but couldn't find an attach button on the post tools..

Pinemhi supports more tables as pinemhi leaderboard.
The table you refer to, are tables which DNADisturber is still in progress to add to pinemhi leaderboard (it takes a long time for him to add).
If you look at the top highscores of those individual tables, there is just 1 person with a highscore (and guess who :drinks:)

Thanks for the answer, this explains everything. At least I can keep praticing on those tables until they are available on the leaderboard so I won't send an poor score.
