Thanks for the info, I tried Cactus Canyon and TOTAN and neither scores posted to the website, even tho i received the msg saying that the score was submitted.
Hi Shredhed,
Hi,
I joined up last night on the website, received my "code" entered it in my ini file, seemed like i was all set. Set up the front-end, played a game of Cirqus Voltaire because i noticed that there weren't any scores for it, after i played my game I received the message from Pinemhi that the score was submitted successfully. But i don't see it on the website? nor do i see my name in the dropdown of players. Any info would be great, oh yeah great idea on this software. Hope it catches on. The next step would be to actually play VP multiplayer, now that would really kick-ass.
Keep up the good work...
Cirqus voltaire is the one that actually doesn't work as jpsalas use a new rom that isn't working yet in pinemhi.
You should really try out some other games to see if it's working for you.
Make sure you have the lastaccess timestamp enabled....not default on 'on' when using xp , win7 vista
Welcometo the club...![]()
the timestamp lastaccess for files isn't turned on.....when you set it to on you must also reboot the pc to take effect.
If you changed it to on and then immediately played a game then this could have caused it.
It could also be because of a typo on your name or code in the ini file.
They can only get checked when they reach the database so it submits it but when it wants to access the database it gets rejected as the name or code is not recognized...
P.S. Your name will appear in the list when you entered your first score.
You can however find your name in the challenges already
Ok I've ensured that UAC is off, I rebooted after setting timestamp, and made my CAB a DMZ on my router. I played a game of Cactus Canyon, Submitted my score, got the message it submitted succesfully, but still not on website..
If it is my username/code, how can i verify it??
If you could send me your ini file using pm i can take a look...
Another possibility could be that the nvram directory is not correct...
yeah Baby !!!! got it working!!!!
Dna gave me the idea when he mentioned dir paths, etc.
it was the line in the ini for the exe for vp9. I had:
VP9=c:\games\visual pinball\VPinball.exe (actually vp9.1.4 named generically for HyperPin)
I changed the filename to :
VP9=c:\games\visual pinball\VPinball913.exe
and BINGO !! my score was posted on the website(under Cactus Canyon FS) Sweet !!!!!
Thanks to everyone for their help !! See you in Hi-Score land ;-)
p.s.
As a sour side-note, i do get program errors when exiting vp913/914 when returning back to the front-end but whatever......
